A "Cry of Fear" Roleplay?

Supposedly. The main characters of each game run into plenty of other human characters; the whole part of meeting them is feeling the uneasiness of questioning their sanity and/or wether or not they're even real.

A CW: Silent Hill server wouldn't get many players anyways, so there's that :^)

It'd be pretty cool if all players were invisible to each other but would phase in and out of each other's worlds every now and then.

That'd most likely create awkward situations where people would be in mid-RP with a person one moment and typing to themselves the next.
Unless you managed to create a system that cancels that sort of thing out, but that would pretty much negate the entire thing anyways imo.

it could be attempted but i think cry of fear is too linear for a roleplay schema to be based off of it.

Not necessarily following the main game, more like an Outbreak RP with heavy Cry of Fear elements, NPCs, etc.

  6. You could have it be in a scenario where some unknown plague has slowly affected humanity over some extended period of time but has come to a full rotation and is now unleashing it self onto humans, mutating them heavily affecting their physical appearances and completely rendering their mental-state/nerves over to this unknown parasite(or whatever reason you've thought of), instead of being shambling retards that spout cliche sentences like "braaiins". They come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes while carrying their own 'personality' (Ex: Some move sprint around flailing chainsaws and having spastic behavior while others appear to be tall and move slowly while being equally dangerous). The survivors could be composed of those who have survived through this whole escapade(they could be immune or somethin', Iunno how you'd work that out).

    tl;dr
A unknown parasite has burrowed it self deep into the minds of humans and turning them into grotesque beings who all behave completely different than each other, while also having different physical appearances. They have no reason to be attacking and mutilating humanity, they just do it. Survivors are the people who've lived through this all and must learn to live through this collapsed world without going bat-shit insane.

Just somethin' I whipped up in 5 minutes

Well Cry of Fear's all about psychosis and mental insanity. My idea was something similar. No one's a zombie, it's more like The Crazies from Romero. It's a contagion that just makes people lose their fucking minds and become psychopaths. Still humans, some mutated or self-mutilated, just crazy people.
