    Agreed. IDK why it hasn't gotten worse ratings. I mean, it's a linear bunch of rectangles with little detail whatsoever.

    I say it's got much more content than a noob would put there in a single day, but I don't consider it a good map yet.

    And yeah, the screenshots are rather meaningless.

    By the way, if you have any good released product and you can work with other tools to make 3D meshes of maps, I may hire you in the future for some gaymes.

    Bear in mind: I threw this thing together in less than a day... out of boredom. It's essentially a terribly malformed box with prop_statics splattered around in no particular order.

    Edit: Anyways, thanks for the (mainly) constructive criticism. I'll be sure to steer away from DOF screenshots in future releases.

    Sure, but I'd have to compile one first, which could take a while. I make hollow skyboxes (oh the horror) for testing so compiling can take a really long time. I'll start it up now. Chances are it'll be finished in the morning.
     
  13. as much as i think brushes are easy and convenient, they will never achieve the kind of detail you get from modeled assets. it's a simple truth. of course, for non-professional work it's ok.

    True, but modelling is ridiclously complicated at first glance. The best I could make was this spiky cube thing in Blender.
     
  15. because it takes time to learn, i spent about 3 hours yesterday uvmapping and texturing my sword. it took wayyy longer than it should have but consistency and perseverance brings great rewards. and in the end, it ill be worth the weight :)

    Turns out I left the .vmf on my old computer (I got a new rig a couple months ago, and yet I'm still finding old files that I need to transfer over), so all I have are some prefabs that I made WAY earlier in development.
