Atomic A fallout roleplay - requires opinions.

Discussion in 'Discussion' started by Canoness, Jan 24, 2016.

  1. I meant nasty as quality, nothing more than that really. And I think the old NCR pack doesn't have female heads either.

  2. I found a pack that does, and yeah the quality is a bit shit if that's what you're getting at, I wish there would be some modellers to re-do some of the fallout models.

  4. Alright, one more question I need to ask before I depart for the day, how would you folks feel about player controlled creatures like Super Mutants. We won't have any friendly ones, the NCR would kill them anyway due to racism.

  5. Generation type plays a massive role in this, it wouldn't be right if a bunch of Gen 1 Mutants roamed around in a pack because as shown in Fallout 2/NV the remnants quickly ran into hiding or flocked to high areas that're isolated from the general public. However, they're most likely going to be second generation since the NCR wasn't fully developed by time the Master was destroyed and as you said the NCR doesn't accept Super Mutants.

2nd Gen Super Mutants lack cognitive abilities and intelligence essentially they're a bunch of grunts, they emerged from rubble of mariposa with the sole intent of slaughtering the weak and transforming the wasteland into a boneyard but, this behavior doesn't follow through with all as some 2nd Gen Mutants because they're just willing to co-operate as others. So yeah, that'd be a cool roleplaying opportunity with the exception that the person playing as the super mutant NEEDS to understand what gen they're playing, how strong they are compared to other factions and their lack of intelligence in most cases.

  6. basically you can be the NCR

then you have the "im a cool military guy who can shoot many guns"

the legion and you'll have the edgy bastards who just quote fallout NV 24/7

the BoS who are just as bad as the legion and are full of fallout 3/4 players

then the enclave who noone really rps right

  7. I don't really see the desire for people to rp as the BoS/Enclave anyways, they're really only powerful due to power armor and a strong grip over technology but otherwise they're just a bunch of jackasses who think they're doing something great but in reality would lead to the downfall of the wasteland. This goes for both 1/2/3/4 BoS too. Maxim's chapter is largely similar to the Enclave.

    See:

The Legion would just go around slaughtering those who disagree with them.

The NCR would eventually collapse since by the time of Fallout: New Vegas, their numbers are so large across the west coast that by time they reached mid-west the NCR would most likely have a civil war erupt from within.

In long term, the Unity would be the best bet for the wasteland. They would eventually gather up a large source of Intelligent Mutants to lead the dumber ones and create a society based off of that, the Master even promised that those who didn't want to become Super Mutants could still exist but wouldn't be allowed to repopulate further unless needed.

  8. I wouldn't be so sure about the Legion. I think it's said somewhere that the Legion's territory is actually safer than the NCR's, with traders requiring little to no protection to move around; not sure about this but I think I read one time that the Legion doesn't necessarily enslave civilized towns as long as they don't get involved, only tribes and enemy settlements. In my opinion, while their methods are brutal, they get the job done way better than the NCR.

If you actually bothered to read the thread youd understand that Canon is trying to make a good server and consult us for advice.

try and not restrict players and give them as much freedom as they can in terms of roleplay.

  11. Already been done, but mind enlightening more on this? :)

It is, from what I was told. You have to apply for a whitelist which is really just giving your steamID.

  14. Thanks for the assists people, in terms of content we'll try and keep it short if we can, although it sucks that there's a bunch of props and useless crap that comes with it. We'll be figuring out how to downsize it and extract what we need and don't need. Once again, thank you all.

  15. don't make power armor op chars that have electricity raging from their asses or authed super mutant characters with enhanced fat mans that are 1 hit kill
    seriously ive seen that shit

infact just don't have any authed characters at all
they'll just fucking pull everything when ur not there and say "its authed"

  16. Well considering the intention is to have NCR soldiers as the main perspective, they'll likely face fair play in combat depending on the type of enemy. Ofc, power armor and all is gonna be tough but not impossible to be rid of if they ever fight such enemy. There's no room for auths anyways since (afaik) all enemies are pretty much there to have an impact on the protagonists, not the other way around.

  17. Yeah, there won't be any of this at all. Brotherhood of Steel I believe will be the only faction that'll have power armor besides from Heavy NCR troopers. Tesla armor is nonexistent in the West Coast anyway I believe.

  18. Tesla Armor only made an appearance in Fallout 3 via the Enclave, It's never been mentioned in any other games iirc

  19. Actually, didn't the West Coaster Enclaves have the two bulbs on their helmet, the Gannon armor?

  20. That was added in the remnant armor, which makes me think It was modified after the events of Fallout 2 because in Fallout 2, the Enclave never had that. Their helmets look like it was based off a gasmask
