AntiShitizen shart fourty-three kilos of onions into my scapula

There was one movie that really made me feel fucked, where a young boy had his birthday and he was circumcised and all that stuff. And so they went and planted an olive tree during the afternoon in the hills to promote good health and fortune or something. But as he was returning home during the evening, he had a shovel over his arm and he was walking down the highway and was seen by a US drone as a possible insurgent trying to plant a roadside bomb so they fired at him. Maybe that's not really in relation to what we're talking about but I think it still makes for a great idea to consider all ends instead of solely trying to consider your objectives for the ranks and sweps.

I raise the argument that there are literally some soldiers who think it's just another job -- they kill because that's what they signed up to do, and they do it and choose to not think about what they killed.

Have you watched Seal Team Six? In the beginning, shit hits the fan and only a couple members of the squad get super affected by it. Everything hits someone a different, and that's just the reality of it all. However, not everyone should feel the same, and everyone should act differently. It's hard when everyone has the "im the badass here" mentality.

But I feel you on the latter.

  3. I know that, it was more so on the fact that noone actually develops further than that. There's a lack of empathy. It's like everyone is a sadist.

    this.

however, there is always a contrary.

you know those whiny bitches in hl2rp who are like "hhhhhhh-h-h-h-h-h-i" whenever they speak because they're traumatised? people throw themselves into that too easily. for example, this guy almost fucking shot himself in dark fraction because he shot a fucking insurgent. i swear to fucking god he shot one guy and freaked the fuck out when they were being shot at. i don't mind being in between, however. you might do it thinking you're doing a good job, then you might stop and think about it a bit, and it goes from there. it's not really the fact that soldiers shot someone and was instantly affected, it was more they shot them, realised they had lives then felt guilt about it.

  5. Daohlocks

Daohlocks The Bible is my favorite sci-fi novel.

I once found this one guy in a Halo RP server, and he was a total faggot ICly. Afraid of everything, etc. But thing is, his /mes were fucking huge, like, longer than fifteen lines. So, when we were dispatched to some old facility on some old planet to take it over from le flood, he became a fucking pussy cat and just ran around shooting the walls and crying his arse off.

He got promoted from Pvt to Sgt for "protecting the Admiral" (yes there was an admiral on the site idk why) by walking alongside her in pure terror.
There were about six people guarding her, including me. Go fucking figure, but I think people are too worried about how many lines of RP someone can type rather than actually doing someting worthy ICly.

I think more people care about how many lines of RP they can write than the actual quality of what they're writing.

Golly, I love repeating everything I've written before!

  7. It also doesn't help the fact that 99% it's USA vs. Brown People, USA. vs. Germany (lol), USA. vs. Germany or USA. vs. Russia.

There's more than one NATO country.

A lot plays into this seeming sadism.
First, and primarily, people are just bad roleplayers, let's get that out of the way.
Second, military roleplay HAS to focus on action, otherwise people would get bored. Even the best roleplay will not roleplay sitting around doing nothing for hours, then going on a worthless patrol of an empty plain where nothing happens.
Third, with the second and first parts in mind, people force themselves to go to extremes. Either they're fucking emotionless terminators or emotional filled trainwrecks that would would Section 8 in no time.
Fourth, people lack the ability to form empathetic feelings when they haven't ventured beyond high school and their mom's basement, unless they've had some extraordinary experience. I was a pretty awful little shit before I got cancer, then I literally watched friends die and nurses and doctors break down and families lose children. It gave me the ability to feel empathy that so many people out there seem to lack. (from here I could go into politics but I'll digress)

People are bad at roleplay. Let's be honest, if you're on military RP, it's bound to be terrible. It's always full of bad people. Most of the time, it's either their RP skill or the logic they go by.

To be fair, I have known people who wanted Passive RP in their military RP (aherm aherm snichols) however, I don't really think that should be pushed away here. Let's be fair, it's the army, people want to shoot each other, but there's usually no room for character development. People hop on for an event, shoot people, then they go. That, or they complain they're bored to force an event. I remember one time where I sat at a fire, encouraging others to come along ICly and OOCly, and everyone was complaining there was nothing to do, asking me to make an event for them. There were six of us. Eventually I just went alooha booka man and shot at themas an """"""event"""""".
