HL2RP Add hands in first person?

I've always played hl2rp in third person while in combat because I can't get over the fact that no hands are shown holding the weapon. Is there any sort of client side addon or command that fixes this?

 

Are you talking about the cw_hands SWEP? Or some other addon?

 

I believe he's saying that he can't see his hands when holding a gun. For example a floating MP7 appearing on your screen when in first person.

 

It's the vanilla mp7, ar2 and 9mm

Anywho, fists were broken during the gmod update a while back

 

It's not fists that are the problem it's guns.

 

He has a problem with the fact that there isn't any hands actually on the weapon while in first person.

 

There was a fix for this a while back. But I doubt it works anymore.

 

I actually really like the no hands thing. Reminds me of Reciever or even Intruder, both two of my all time favourite FPS games.
I'll take a look at how the hands work and I'll try and release a fix when I get home, but please God don't expect any miracles. I have a vague idea of how this can be fixed.

 

Add support for different model hands.
As in. Gloves for MPf and what not.

 

I've been having this issue as well. I've wondered why Clockwork wasn't updated to make use of GMod 13's custom first-person hand models. It would definitely add much more immersion in-game. I dislike the look of wielding "floating" guns in first-person and if I remember correctly, this wasn't the case in OpenAura. Hopefully a future update will correct these problems, but I wonder if there's a temporary fix we could use in the meanwhile.
