Well most C16 users have most likely heard of us before but don't let that stop you! Well here at Allegiance-Gaming we try to stick to the utmost strict canon of original 'Half-Life 2' even our CPO's (Civil Protection Officers) rank's are to the cannon!

We have a variety of plugins to enhance RP and non of that force RP to eat food due to some quickly emptied hunger-bars. Now for the Resistance...A.k.a Lolwebuls, Their policy is a simple "Don't try and find us to join." Meaning that they will watch you icly and come when they think you deserve it. On the CPO's side they're slightly different ranked to 'Most' (E.x those dark-hl2rp servers.) of the other servers. We have no CmD rank because that rank is just silly. We only have one division which is the whole CPO base. Thus cutting out the arguments and moans about which division does what and who does what.

And now to commence the rant;
Whats unique about your server, because you aren't the only people saying that your rebels 'Watch candidates icly' and that don't ask to join bullshit. Same goes for your civil protection rank structure.

 

Most servers say it but Metagame people into the Resistance, Our Resistance will actually watch people. Our's are not the "LOL LETS RUN ITOOO PLZAAZAZAA AND LOL SHOOT" They're more passive and rarely have any shoot outs. They will either passive RP in their little base or walk around the plaza passiving with the citizens.

 

But... most servers out there are like that...?

I never said we were 'special' nor did I intend to make it look like we were 'special' its just how I like the Resistance to run.

 

Best way to run the resistance is to not run the resistance.

 

Very true, if the Resistance is going to be good you have to let the players run it, e.g no leader they make the decisions between them.

 

In other words.. or the words of a darkRPer 'how shot cop'.
There is no true canon CCA name, each server is different... however some worse than others, while others better than some. (That being rare occ such as enforcing grammar, etc)
Hopefully you guys get populated this time, use the low max players, around 20ish, all I can say if it comes to that. Hope you last long this time, third time AG coming back. :3

Also, wrong. i4 is related to sector, not ranking, appearantly. So not related to cannon canon at all.

You do realize that a hunger bar is far more of a DarkRP trait than it is a seriousRP trait, right? Serious roleplayers actually roleplay the hunger instead of having a little bar on the top left of their screen tell them they can't jump more than half an inch because they forgot to eat in the last fifteen OOC minutes.

So what happens if someone gets hurt? Are they escorted to a citizen-run medical bay or does every unit happen to be fully trained in medical aid? Is this the same for mechanical issues, because that'd be quite a lot for each unit to learn.

Really, I'd advise you truly try to obtain custom content and something larger to offer before launching to the public. Using sector numbers as ranks has been done before, IC-recruitment for the Resistance has been done before, undivided Combine forces have been done before, and sadly enough, overrated hunger bars have been done before.

If I were you, I'd try to make the server special and then move to cleaning up the spelling/grammar in this thread, mainly because while a Half-Life Cannon seems interesting, it isn't exactly what I'd like to see on a server unless you're shooting Combine Balls from it.

Perhaps actually add in a cannon. That'd be interesting. Still, don't try to make a generic server with generic content, generic features, and a generic Union. While I don't mean for this to come off as hateful, there's plenty of polishing up to do.

We have a 'Civilian Medical Service' group that deals with anysort of injury/person/CP. Well also units at the rank 03 will get medical training. So they will know how to deal with shit.

We don't have them, never did, never will.

I made this in a rush before I went to a Job interview..so yeah.

 

In our canon it's kill or be killed since most situations that end up harming a unit, end up being fatal. If you happen to survive, you can be escorted to the CMS where they will gladly patch you up. Or if it's a minor injury, I like to imagine there's automatic reparation systems in the Nexus (Machines and whatever) That fix things for you.

I mean, ffs the UU is a multi-universal totalitarian government, they don't need to worry if the units are in good shape. Didn't you know? The whole goal of the UU is to eventually kill off mankind!

I don't want my units being trained. Training is boring.
The best way to learn, is to learn it yourself. There's a full guide that explains the concept of what you need to know.

(I'm really not a fan of the system, training = rank up)

The only way to rank up, is to have earned trust from your superiors, demonstrate your efficiency in combat, and leadership capability.

 

The only way they will learn the shit is by training at tbh like IRL services you Have to have some sort of medical training to a certain degree aswell as service time and all of the other stuff. Plus it gives the units more passive. And the "training = rank up" I never said that will happen, Tbh I hate that Idea also. Ranks should be giving over the quality of the passive RP and the length they have been that rank and their IC and OOC behavior as a CP.

 

I suppose I'll throw in some training.
And I only said "training = rank up" because some servers do it like that and that's ridiculously dumb.
