    i want to play some hl2 but ive played through the valve maps so many times
    so does anyone have any mods/maps that will give me a hl2-like experience

    also if its for the episodes, thats cool too

    If you have the classic Half-Life Hazardous-Course 2 is one damn well amazing mod with superb levels of details and challenge for such an old engine.

    Other than that, Spherical Nightmares and Transmissions: Element 120 are also very, very well done.
