From wanting to be a Chef to a Security Officer, you can choose your path of what character you want to develop!
When you join, you start off with a few basic factions such as a Chef, Scientist, Security Officer and Maintenance!
Our server focuses on more of the passive role-play aspect than any aggressive aspect.


The year is 1998 at the Black Mesa Research Facility, in New Mexico, USA desert. The Black Mesa Research Facility undertakes research in various fields from standard scientific research to radiation, rocketry, theoretical physics, lasers, experimental propulsion, hydraulics, robotics, hydroelectricity, genetics, zoology, applied mathematics, and a very wide spectrum of research into chemistry and all manner of physics research. Black Mesa is also competing with another company to get to the top of the scientific ladder, and they will go to any length to do it. Even to the point of sending espionage agents to the each others facilities.

Seems like a decent thread but I think it would be a good idea to delve more into objectives of factions. Are characters expected to create their own roleplay? Or will head-honchos of the area of jobs give daily assignments, et-cetera? It'd be nice to see a Black Mesa server finally get kicked off that doesn't make the same mistakes that HeartBit appeared to make on the few visits I gave it.

Also, not nitpicking, but you appeared to have misspelled 'facilities' at the end of one of your paragraphs. Just figured I'd let you know.

 

I've really been wanting some BMRP after buying/completing the steam version, and it looks like this fits the bill perfectly.

If you ever need a semi-custom/entirely custom map, hit me up and I'll see what I can do for you.

 

A lot of times it depends on your faction. For example the director of science (me) will often give scientists tasks to perform throughout the day. Although I will be gone for about a week starting today.

 

You have some pretty big boots to fill if you're trying to be a successor to HeartBit.
Still, looks okay I guess. Some screenshots would be nice.

 

Good-luck, I've tried to make one, was there for two week's and only got 2 player's that weren't staff and was new to the community, rest was my friends and staff.

Looks cool, dude. Unfortunately, BMRP has never really been my scene.

If you have a sort of developer on your team, I think it would be a great addition to have varied food items for cafeteria workers to put out. Granted, items aren't needed for roleplay, but it feels more engaging in my opinion. What models do you intend on using for janitors and cafeteria workers?

 

At the moment, we are using default models for those two factions unless we are to find models that look better.
