Atomic Jellyfish was a combination of two very inactive communities and a merged community known as Double-Vision Gaming, Raging Raptors, and Perception Roleplay. It started from just two people who were working with Clockwork that has then grew greatly. The name Atomic Jellyfish is more of an inside joke that will stay that way. As a community we are not in it for the money and are to create servers with the styles that we have felt as roleplayers that seemed exciting for us. Yes, this has been said so many times by different people, but we hope that once you enter our server that you will be able to create your own experience that will help change the boring sentence that is overused many times.

The server that Atomic Jellyfish is showcasing is Fallout 3. The staff at Atomic Jellyfish worked hard to find new innovative ways to create unique roleplay standards that will be explained more in detail below.

Our story begins year 2256, fifteen years after the destruction of the Oil Rig in West America and twenty one years before Vault 101 opened. Brotherhood of Steel soldiers have set up a glorious Citadel in the Capital Wasteland fighting mutants, raiders, tribes, and of course the Enclave. As the Enclave moved East after their fail in the West they hoped to rebuild the Capital of America. As they landed in the area fighting quickly raged between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave. War effected the land greatly as the two factions caused many problems between settling towns in the region. As our story begins in the heat of battle you come in. Will you aid the Brotherhood of Steel against the reign of the Enclave? Or will you enlist in the forces of the Enclave becoming one of the greatest soldiers the Wasteland has seen. Or perhaps you would like to become a mutant, a raider, a thug, or a neutral bystander. The choice is all yours...Welcome to Atomic Jellyfish.

    Brotherhood of Steel:
The Brotherhood of Steel, mainly lead by Elder Lyons in the Capital Wasteland have begun to move there troops a bit north into the area. Armor has been created in an alarming rate as the T-45d power armor is starting to lose in durability due to the influx of Brotherhood of Steel soldiers. The quest for technology has become halted as the Enclave stand in the way between the everlasting truth. The Brotherhood of Steel has begun to withdrawal due to the Brotherhood of Steel Outcasts growing. As the war presses on, they find themselves stricken with many problems to be solved.

    Enclave:
The year is 2256, 21 years before Vault 101 was touched. The Enclave mobilizes in force, spreading around the Capital Wasteland like ants on a lion. Legions of armoured soldiers march in formations across the wasteland, as they cleanse the area of any impurities, mutations, and generally...Most people. The Enclave, led by Colonel Sean 'Mace' Gregory, storms the northern area of DC's city ruins, as a small outpost is set up. It was fairly small, but a well defended fortress. It was named after a brave soldier that died defending the Colonel's life from a sniper shot, and had the honour of having 'Fort Jackson' named after him. The fortress itself is surrounded by a large boulders, concealing it's position, with automated sentry guns defending the fortress from intruders. The soldiers scatter around the fortress. The base consists of a barracks, mess hall, research lab, helipad, and the Command Center. The area itself is well far away from the settlement, named New Haven, that is consisted of small-time wastelanders, dedicated to defend their small town from intruders. But we all know, on their own they won't fight the Enclave. However, the Enclave forces mostly leave the local populace alone, unless they did something to anger them. The Enclave's goal in this region is to eliminate any hostile Brotherhood and mutations alike. They will stop
at nothing to achieve their goals.

    (Custom Faction)New Haven:
After much success in the southern part of East America they decided to move north in search of expansion. This small militia started off from the ground up in an abandoned army base looking for new soldiers to join them. The response was huge as many willing wastelanders enlisted in this shanty army. As their job was finished the main leaders began to move north in search of another desperate and destroyed land. As they settled into an abaonded town the Enclave and Brotherhood of Steel made it clear to them that the town was the key to the region. New Haven quickly manufactured arms as they began create weapons for each other. Wastelanders found shelter in this town and joined a work force to help defend the town from both rival factions. It was clear that this militia would not give up the town and would stay neutral until provoked.

    Borderline Combat:
This is a rule involving certain combat situations on our server between factions - Situations were players might end up dead. It states that factions do NOT have to /me fights. In that scenario you will need two more conditions:
Every player that is involved in this fight must be ICly and OOCly aware of that they are in a life-threatening situation (They must be aware before the fight starts)

To simplify it as a whole without getting utterly confused by this concept:

    Long range, /me and S2M
    Medium range, /me and S2K
Close range, no /me and S2K

    Creatures of the Wastes:
Creatures in the server are going to take a big effect as we have added a numerous amount of them. For this players who apply on the forums and are accepted by admins are able to choose a specific creature to roleplay as. We would like to keep this as strict as possible to avoid powergaming between creatures. (AKA deathclaws)
The list of creatures we currently have are:
    -Feral Ghoul
-Regular Ghoul (With different clothing variations)
    -Cazadore
    -Deathclaw
    -Deathclaw Alphamale
    -Deathclaw Baby
    -Deathclaw Mother
    -Gecko
    -Giant Rat
    -Mirelurk
    -Mantis

    -Giant Ant
    -Night Stalker
    -Radroach
    -Radscorpion
    -Supermutant (With different armor variations)
    -Supermutant Nightkin

    Weapons:
Although, we didn't want weapons to be a main focus for players it is of course always needed. Regular wastelanders are most likely going to be recieving low tier weapons while faction characters will be able to purchase weapons of higher class.
    Our weapon list currently are:
    -Wood Axe
    -Varmint Rifle
    -Sniper Rifle
    -Sledgehammer

    1.) Get better forums.
    2.) Good luck.

  3. Nice constructive criticism there.

Anyway, as for the OP, your community is obviously new, but I cannot comment much on Fallout roleplay considering I have zero experience in that category, but I can comment on how you portray the Enclave (I'm a die-hard fan). You stated that the Enclave generally "leave alone" the local populace, but one of their goals are to exterminate the BoS along with the other mutants in the area. Keep in mind, unless your Enclave faction follows a different ideology or modified ideology from the original lore, the Enclave consider their members pure humans, all people born inside a vault are also considered pure until they have exposed themselves enough to the outside world which they are considered "near-humans" (as stated by President Dick Richardson in Fallout 2), as for everyone else, their just considered "mutie-scum" as Frank Horrigan would say. In other words, the local populace would also be up for neutralization.

  4. Forums are extremely new, but yeah I have someone on that. Paying for a real domain and updating how it looks.

Of course. If we were to go 100% Enclave we would have them walking around and shooting every wastelander in sight. Although, this has been a touchy subject when it hits roleplay. Usually when this happens in my experience (And it's been a long experience) Enclave becomes a "zero" passive-rp faction that just gets on to shoot wastelanders. Giving the local populace some slack is necessary in order to give Enclave some passive instead of getting onto the character just to shoot players. Maybe this will be changed in the future, but for the time being. Because this is a new community and we need more members I rather not shoot every new player that gets on :p

Thanks, it took me a good five minutes to come up with something to say and that's because I haven't seen a half decent FO3 RP yet, therefore I said 'Good Luck'.

Do what C16 and most SMF forums do, check out http://dzinerstudio.com and either get a subscription for their premium themes, or maybe their free themes too (Inferno's my favourite free theme, just takes some customization to look 'custom'.

  7. If I am going to get a better forum it will probably be a premium one. The free ones look...eh...

  8. I think so, yes. But you want it to REALLY look professional.

I don't settle for just any theme when I make a forum. I make sure a lot of people like it, and that it's sleek, professional, and popular.

I'd say keep looking for a better one.

  9. I may just want to customize this one to the max. I don't know, we'll see. It will happen soon I can assure that.

    Afford a license to what?

Your guy's focus on forums theme is a bit ridiculous. Who gives a shit about the forums? As long as they are decently organized and contain all the necessary info, they are doing their job. Focus on your server more.

  13. Actually, a forum theme can make or break a website.

He should strive to have one that is suitable for his needs.

  14. Thank you, I hope that the quality of the server and the organization of our staff can help formulate an opinion on us instead of the look of our forums. (Which we are still customizing)

I don't want my forum to be a basis on how we are. I mean, Fallout 2 looks like an awful game with bad graphics and low budget but it's still a lot of peoples favorites. I don't want the look of the forum to be a way to judge us. Although, I'm not saying I'm not taking into consideration that I am going to fix this problem.

  15. For those who were concerned about the forum.

We are currently porting a lot of information to change the forum. We aren't just changing the look, but were adding much more content so that when your away from Garrysmod you can still be involved in the community.
