Automatic Map Cleaner / Nodraw Optimizer?

Discussion in 'Programming' started by Sheeplie, Sep 19, 2014.

    Sheeplie Hi.

I know this is a stretch, but right now I'l working on a map (with the original creators permission) and most of the brushes in here are atrocious, stretched out longer than they have to be, et cetera. Not to mention that the non-visible faces aren't nodrawn, causing a not-so-pretty scene of lag.

    Any ideas?

  4. He's working on a City 45 edit.

    Anyways,

And it probably lags because you fast compiled it.

The brushes are stretched to save brushes and shit, so not all of the faces might not be nodrawed.

Also there is no "automatic" way to do it.

Sit down and fucking do it yourself.

    Sheeplie Hi.

This actually wasn't the City 45 edit, City 45 is amazingly clean when it comes to brushes. I'm talking about a map that was just completely... "FUCKBRUSHDRAGDRAWCOMPILEIDONTEVENCARE" 'd. I dont really think I'll have anywhere near the years required to fix and redo all of it, so I'll either just have to do my best on it.. or.. whatever. That'll be in the future.
