I don't understand the nationality of the main character.

He's using German weaponry but wearing an American/British uniform and don't use the bullshit "muh alternate timeline" either. This is fucking confusing

 

from what i assume it's a soldier who probably ran out of ammo and picked up german weapons, something a lot of people did during ww1/ww2

Battlepacks were in BF4, all they have is cosmetics
even if they have weapons in this one its better than dividing the community in half every time a map pack drops

also @Canoness it's going to have to get somewhat ridiculous to be a proper battlefield game
there's Verdun if you want trench simulator and even there they have way too many automatic weapons and what not
bolt action standoffs frankly aren't fun video game experiences

 

I'd actually love to be in a 2 hour long game sitting in a trench, it's down pouring and there's visible mud and other stains on the character model as time progresses. Just 2 hours of shell shock, firing into the distance hoping it actually hit someone but being slightly scared to poke your head back up to check and gasmask overlays completely restricting your FOV

Wasn't there an overhaul a few months back or something? I don't own the game so I can't visibly check but I remember it being something like blood/gore overhauls and just fixes to the general game

 

there was but it was awhile ago and it's still shit

it's clunky at runs at like 30fps and at points it's like call of duty and there's hardly any exchanging shot moments between trenches it's just one team charges and the other defends

also, @Zink, and others mentioned why the protagonist is black. well i think this is actually going to take place in northern africa, where the germans and all were fighting there, and the protagonist is part of that african group that fought. something like that? idk i don't know my history.

and while i'm not really a fan of WW1/2 type games, this actually looks awesome. might play the public beta when that comesd out. levelcapgaming has said that he had played the game himself (but can't say anything about it) so it's defo round the corner

 

Honestly, closing thing to trench warfare... Even though it really isn't in the same war, nor is it close to how cool that would be, would have to be red orchestra 2.
Easy to run on a shit rig, and most fun on realistic mode. Getting some kills on that mode feels really fulfilling I don't know why...
