Welcome to Mecklenburg! The fictional City and official setting of our Cider Two server. I have a lot to get through with this tour guide before I go about posting and making arrangements for the factions and whatnought, so for now, enjoy this somewhat belated map guide and go explore the map yourself! I also apologise for the somewhat low quality headers, I tried to make them as nice as I could and ultimately ended up falling a bit flat on my face, so to speak. But ayyy, this guide will tell you all about the prominent locations, landmarks and buildings in the city of Mecklenburg. Enjoy!

Mayor Wiles was elected in late 2012 to be the founder for a new day and age in the City of Mecklenburg, making many promises like restoring much needed facilities in the general hospital and revitalising the emergency services system to make it available for all of the general populace to use. Unfortunately, Mayor Wiles was called out by several council members in late 2013, and one by one they all vanished. Mysteriously taken away by aliens, so the reports say. Rarely leaving the confinements of his proud tower to make any adjustments to things, many people disregard Mayor Wiles' opinion on things, but we all know he's a shady guy deep down. He relies on his secretaries (that's you if you want) to make sure he both A) stays alive and B) keeps the peace.
The Mayor's Office can be visited to make both OOC and IC enquiries into the server, regarding certain whitelists, positions and other questions that the massive planned OOC limit won't allow you to properly ask, and is located on Harbu Lane.

The megamarket mall that is the Meckleburg Mall was heavily damaged by A.U.T.I.S.M terrorist attacks last year, and most of remains under heavy construction. What remains are few shops players can go to for some supplies or to meet up for a coffee and discuss their shady daily dealings, and is still guarded by on site security staff 24/7.
These stores include;

  [li]A clothing store (selling wearable clothing)[/li]
  [li]A video games store (selling props to pimp your room out)[/li]
  [li]A storage hire facility (self explanitory, need a place to cook meth?)[/li]

The Hound Liquor store is located just outside of the Mecklenburg mall, as the owner was apparently never rich enough to move in. Supplying the Postawa, Cloud Sixteen and the general public more alcohol than ever since the prohibition. $5 to the first man to have a guess what players can buy here. (so long as you have an ID with you, and you don't play a 15 y/o ICly)

The place of most of our generic bank heist events, Liberty City's very own colossal bank corporation decided to give a good go at expansion, and their Mecklenburg branch was what became of it. Featuring (supposedly) uncrackable safes and with armed guards on site during the open hours and even more armed guards on site during the night, the Liberty Bank is said to be virtually unrobbable since the last heist occurred sometime in 2008.
However, robbing it is not the only interaction players will have the opportunity to have with this building. Taking a leaf out of Snowmine Roleplay's old and dusty book, players who are insecure about losing their money to muggings or silent assailants in the night can store their hard farmed earned money into their own account, which will come very much in handy later down the line, and will provide employment opportunities for bankers to be on site.

Note; to make it fair and less depressing for users, any robberies (because let's be honest someone WILL try it) will be taking a set amount of money away with them, none of it will come out of the accounts. A sort of "Payday 2" thieves code. Steal from the rich, ignore the poor.

The Mecklenburg General Hospital has received awfully little funding from the mighty Mayor Wiles, but has been fortunate enough to be offered charity by many of the surrounding councils and whatever jobs are available can be picked up by those with even intermediate MedRP experience. Plastic surgery (model changing at a cost) and medication can be prescribed here. Even some of the "under the counter" stuff can be purchased by some of the Hospital's more shady and definitely-not-working-for-the-mafia employees. Medics and Doctors alike are on site with equipment to heal any "bullshit" roleplay wounds you encounter.

Harbu Lane is the most prominent and infamous corner of Mecklenburg, being on the same street as a crooked garage mechanic and a cheap residential block, Harbu Lane is rarely patrolled by the police, dangerous on a night, and is probably haunted. Unfortunately, there are no ghost busters in Mecklenburg. Who you gonna call?
On the bottom of Harbu Lane is are two apartment blocks and a residential home, adjacent from the garage where players can purchase vehicles, and across from an empty office block where a player could potentially set a business if they have the money.
Maybe even a video games company.
Who knows?

Betty's Diner was established in 1943, not long after the end of the second coming of Duck World War. Frequented by many, loved by all, this place will sell food that has more nutritional value than McDonalds, if for a higher price. Also features the best damn coffee around, and Cops will usually stop by on their daily round "the block".
Players can get jobs as waiters or cooks here. It's ICly morally wrong to rob this place. Don't do it you scum!

Cloud Sixteen is a prosperous nightclub open 24 hours a day for daydrinkers who prefer lines with their drinks, or those who are too young to understand the traditional value of the Postawa. Frequented by gay club kids, mafia members and drug dealers, where else would a shady deal go down that out here? Or by that inconspicuously placed storage container down by the side alley with a locked chain fence? A lot of spiked drinks, cocaine and good music go hand in hand in this building. Say, does this smell like chloroform to you?

Charlie Avenue is without doubt the safest street in Mecklenburg. That's probably because the Police Station is right down from the Hospital, but it's also because the apartments beside the police station are very nice. Did we mention that they're also known safehouses for Mafia members and guarded from thieves and cops 24/7?
Oh, I didn't mean safe for you.
Or the Police.
Or the general public.

It is against IC rules to raid this place, the same as it is ICly improbably a Mafia member would raid the Police Department. There are rules to be followed for both sides, and we have to all play fairly. Please respect that. It's not much to ask.

Also on Charlie Avenue is the Mecklenburg Police Department, home of the best and wittiest cops, detectives and armed response units since Counter Strike, while also hosting a roster of some real Dirty Harry cops. Police Applications will be often held here, ICly and with a familiar face. The Police Department has a prison cell block attached to it, as well as an interrogation room that is, judging from the blood on the walls, used quite regularly by women at the end of their menstruation cycle detectives playing good cop/bad cop. Funnily enough, this interrogation room also has a conveniently placed air shaft leading right up to the roof. Now, if only there was someone who'd save you.

More on crimes and punishment to come, for now, just bare with me. I know I haven't given much information on the factions, but all in due time, my friends, we still have three more days to go.

The oldest, most traditional place in all of Mecklenburg, the Postawa was originally a tavern back during the 1910's, surviving most of the prohibition era of the 1920's by turning into an oddly loud "pet shop" and later being re-established as a bar in 1933, the Postawa is under personal protection by most of the Mafia, and defacing the peace offered by the establishment is a crime with punishments delivered by both the Police and the mobs that frequent it. If you have trouble, take it outside.
Oddly enough, it's just across the street from Betty's, which Cops love, so don't take it outside, on second thought. Just go home.
Players can get jobs as barkeepers or bouncers here, and can also purchase alcohol (obviously) in the form of a pint glass.

The Star Plaza Hotel is the the highest class hotel in all of Mecklenburg, offering very nice quality accommodation for a reasonably low price. While also being next to the Mall, liquor store and on the corner of Harbu Lane, the Star Plaza is a great place to lay your head if you need to stay low. Whomever it may be from. It even has a rooftop pool!

Players can acquire employment as waiters, janitors, concierges and security here, and don't need to visit the Mayor's office to purchase temporary accommodation here.

The WAWA garage is owned by the Shell company, one of the biggest oil hogging companies in the world. Therefore, cheap gas prices! How cool! Beside the gas station which gets robbed more than Lev's dignity, is a convenience store, where players can purchase cheap booze, conventional cigarettes and gas for the getaway car when you don't pay for any of it.

Mecklenburg was such a good map. Gah, I adored making the guide for this!
I should still have my Rockford one somewhere, too.
