City 21 [WIP map(s)]

    So.. You know that rp_towers map I was working on? well, going to do a whole thing on that now, both that map and this one are now a brand new rp_city21; there's going to be 2 or maybe 3 maps in total about this City; the Outlands, the Towers, and the ground level (maybe). I'm currently looking for;

    • Ideas
    • Help
    • Recommendations
    • Textures/models

    Here's preview shots of the Towers map (worked on quite a bit)

    Oh man this'll be good. Alright. Some ideas from me.
    1.) Nexus moderately sized. Don't make it to small but also don't make it massive with unneeded size, I dislike that.
    2.) Slums district needs to look pretty normal. But I like secret entrances, this is just a personal preference.
    3.) Apartments? 4-5 floors.
    This all being for city. As far as outlands goes?

    Outlands:
    1.) A main area for the resistance/Refugees. Sort of a small yet central town.
    2.) Overwatch transhuman base. Small yet well hidden.
    3.) Houses. Greenery. Terrain.

    Any recommendations for the towers? the City below is unplanned as far as now.

    Tydosius I am deeply sorry.

    The towers may end up being little more than giant phallic symbols looming over the whole city like some creepy implication if you don't pay attention to how they'd interact with the city and why people would use them, or at least travel or go through them.
     
  5. Suggestion for the Overwatch Nexus in the city map(s): do not make a full Combine metal building, use a converted-like building appearance (like C17's nexus) instead.

    Originally, in what was me and Technos plan for a server, citizens were much more free with actions, and the map is meant to be more futuristic than alot of the current cities.

    Again the lower city map isn't planned.

    For the towers? Make them talk. Ominous. And have teleporters like C17 one. That's cool.

    And is there any updates at all to this Badham? It went kind of dark.

    Ran into a couple of issues, these are the main 2:

    The outlands map displacement walls cause my computer to turn onto a pile of molten ash when I try to compile it, my compooter is old.

    The tower map is just kinda delayed because y'know laziness and out of ideas.

    I've also got a Horror map on the backburner I've got to finish. So, both a-lot on my plate and not enough to clean it.

    Again, if anyones willing to help (Any way is nice [Sounds, Textures, even helping out mapping]) I'm glad to accept.
