City 38 Showcase Thread/Album

  1. Oh I'm plentifully happy with what I've made, I'm just upset I can't add more than I already have; redesigning it won't really allow me to add more.

    Edit: I've managed to sneak in some more extra things into the map, I'm trying to make sure I don't cause an error that stops the map from working or causing it to crash a lot.

  2. entdata shouldn't be a problem. I think mine was at like 200-1000, lol. Also, gmod has lifted entity limits. If you need a modified VBSP, hit me up.
     
  3. I've been doing quite a lot more work on the map, I've got a working 3d skybox and modified certain areas; as well as improving them.

When this map is done, it's going to be hosted on a server and I'm going to be the manager of it; I hope that people will perhaps join us and give us a try, as I hope to make HL2RP what it should be. (The map is supposed to be home to civil and upstanding citizens, my aim is to make it so that citizens can talk to each other without being yelled at; infact... Low end units will be encouraged to also talk to citizens, so that it creates a more friendly environment between both. I don't want Citizens, "Webuls" and units to be seperated from each other in an endless circlejerk where no one roleplays but within their factions. "Webuls" won't exist, or should atleast be kept to a minimum; due to the map not having any easy to hide in holes that you can masturbate in all day long and not worry about units coming in because of "Muh metagame, you don't know about this secret door ;)" Despite the fact that I'm pretty sure the union would have city plans and know about that location. I could rant for a bit longer, but I'm gonna go grab some new pictures of the map and bring them here in a moment.)

  11. Nope, it'll be a public map released on workshop for all to download and use. Though I'm leaving it off the workshop until the server is up so that we can be the first to use it owo

    Pay me for what? A custom map?

    Yeah, I know what you mean; though I wanted to make a map that wasn't so gloomy and depressing looking. I wanted this to be a more uplifting kind of map, a more friendly city. (Mostly because having units being gloomy/depressing ends up removing all kinds of Citizen RP; because no one ever interacts.) Is what I'm hoping for anyway.

    And lol, if every server ends up using it I'd consider that as a success.

  19. I've actually fixed that up now :) Infact, I'm doing the few final compiles (Considering I really have completely ran out of brushes/entdata now. Like, I'm at 95% brushes and 150% entdata. Still runs pretty smooth though; I get about 80-100fps in the plaza and my rig is only about mediocre.)
