CLOUD SIXTEEN GAMING POLL
Things like this have probably been done before (possibly on here) but since Cloud Sixteen is a pretty gamer based forum I thought it might be interesting to make a poll about what type of video game genres you all prefer. Due to the constraints on poll options I can't go all out and if your favorite genre is not listed please feel free to give your two cents about it below.​

 

If it were listed, I'd state roleplaying with minor survival/survival horror elements.

You should really allow more than one vote, since I like my strategy games, but I also like action adventure.

Very linear vote, I enjoy way more than 2 genres.

I am trying to collect a more centralized piece of data that is, unfortunately, linear but will give a better idea. I am asking for your most favorite or possibly two favorites if you are split, however I do not want to go beyond that.

 

stealth action, mgs, and stuff like dishonored go my way

but i love me some mmorpgs

As shown in the graph, roleplaying and strategy seem to be the favored genres among the Cloud Sixteen community with nine votes for each of the two. Far behind tied for second with two votes is MMO and Action. Tied in third with one vote is Other, Trivia/Logic, Simulation and Action-Adventure. Sports/Racing and Adventure received no votes at all so far.

 

I miss classic MGS...might need to break that out sometime soon.

That is part of Action. Also I would have if there was not a limit on poll options.

 

why did you not include stealth genre??? that is the best genre! it is my favorite! i did not choose "other" because that is a a gay asnwer.

seriously though, if you plan on doing this in the future, include more options!

 

Okay, I understand this but it is not my fault that I can ONLY HAVE TEN OPTIONS. I would have included more if I could, but I could only use very broad genres. I would think that would fall under Action-Adventure.

Yeah, I know, but I doubt people would be as inclined to submit if it requires going to another link. I may do another one of these or create another poll away from these forums for this reason, but I would rather finish this up first. Sorry again.

 

I see no reason to apologize. The fact is your contributing to a conversation, and beyond that, there's already the option to select 'other' and simply specify why you had selected that.
