Oh, look, a huge post!

This place is unfriendly. Like, really unfriendly. People call each other autistic, constantly yell at each other, rate each other 'dumb' for no reason, yet it hasn't been like this before (or, at least, that's what I think). I have no idea if the private sector's still there or not, but I doubt some things that kuro changed really stopped shitposting too much (no offense). People usually yelled at each other in the private sector, these forums were more-or-less friendly. Then people just started using the word 'autistic' more and more, fighting in normal forum threads and, really, I don't know if this was happening before I 'joined' C16 or just stayed on it, and I'm sure it was, but this forum has become a really unfriendly place. There are forums where moderators actually do their job (and not to offense DonScarlet in any way again, he knows what kind of place this is and such rules do not apply here as much as they do on other forums). There are forums where saying a 'baaad werd' to somebody means 1 or a few warning 'points'. If you reach 6, you get a ban. As simple as that. I have not seen a single time where newbies to the forum or actual regular players were offended by anything. They have an actually friendly atmosphere. I don't know if kurozael is trying to make this a friendlier place or not, it seems like he is, but it really isn't working out. So far, there are only a few people which actually aren't just sitting somewhere in a basement and calling others autistic for no reason.

Oh, look, a sort of 'friendlist' thing! People I respect on this forum for not actually calling others autistic all the time, contributing good posts and threads and being quite nice people overall.

Oh I'm sure I missed some good people in there, but hey look! I think this post is going to get rated dumb a million times, everyone below me is going to hate me (hahah, and I know everyone here already does), it's going to be snipped and trashed and I'll be banned. I don't really care if I'm not with the 'cool kids' here though, since I'm leaving.

This is a post saying you should either keep it the way it is, if you think it's how you like it, or you should enforce the rules to make it a friendlier community. Either way, I am not trying to insult you by saying this, but saying my criticism. If you think this is the way you like it, keep it, and I'll leave. It's your forum, after all. I know you said not to make huge posts about how you're leaving, but if this makes the community any better, I'm sure it's worth it.

 

[member=1]kurozael[/member] has already been trying to make this entire thing a much more friendlier place, not only has there been a giant argument over the use of calling people "autistic" and the other things you have mentioned but I've essentially been at the frontier of it with kuro, getting raged at for thinking it's not something that people should be doing and thinking these forums should be more friendly.

Yet everyone else deems to think everyone should be still doing what they are doing and think it doesn't offend others.

I can understand why you're leaving too, I've actually had the thought a few times myself but I guess I just havn't given up that far yet...

Mind you, I'm very confused as to how our community keeps gaining users who make introduction threads. It would be nice if some of them were Australian, but still. I try to be somewhat nice to newcomers while retaining the spirit of C16, which judging by the current state of the community, isn't easy.

We need to fix this shit.

 

It's just that there's a general hate towards authoritarian figure who does his job.

Because badges were discontinued shortly after they were a thing. That, and while I take care with what I say, I find friendly comments and greetings unnecessary.
