    Coffee Shop Gaming
"Yay, another bad thread by Suxx!"

    So,
Coffee Shop Gaming has been up for quite a while now, and has been going through several stages phases failures consisting of poor choices in schematics, staff management and a few rough times with other communities. This is all on my part. But, I'd love to announce that CSG is finally sticking to Fallout: New Vegas Roleplay and this will be the last [yay!] community thread I do for my community.
Currently, our playerbase is pretty weak, but only you can decide wether or not we can change that!
Without further ado, allow me to represent Coffee Shop Fallout Roleplay!

The game is set in and around a post-apocalyptic retro-futuristic Las Vegas, following the Great War between the U.S., and China as a conventional and nuclear war that occurred on October 22 - October 23, 2077, and lasted less than two hours, whilst causing immense damage and destruction. Before the Great War was the Resource Wars, during which the United Nations disbanded, a plague rendered the United States paranoid, and Canada was annexed.

Although the Fallout universe and the real world share a common timeline until about 1945, the defining moment of the Fallout universe was the Great War of 2077. On October 23, 2077, the United States, China, and other nuclear-armed countries commenced a brief but rapid exchange of nuclear strikes. Although the conflict lasted only two hours, the destruction it brought was staggering and complete: more energy was released in the early moments of the war than in all previous global conflicts combined.

The world that remained was harsh and unforgiving. 90 years after the Great War, humanity survived but struggled to do so. Above ground, small bands fought over the crumbling remains of once great cities while mutants prowled the irradiated wastes. Underground, a fortunate few enjoyed the relative safety and comfort of the Vaults. Some fought to keep the world out, others to connect with and re-populate it. Wherever humanity survived it was under constant threat by psychotic mutants, rogue machines, vicious raiders, and all manner of hostile mutant creatures.

This is set in 2282, and the world remains a cruel and harsh place. Though now, it is the raiders and machines that fear the humans, and civilisation has once again emerged from the latter. The New California Republic hold a tight grip over Nevada and the Mojave after driving the Legion back into the East, and now they stand on their last toes, sending in all power from the East to reclaim what they lost.

    You are just a wanderer, seeking a purpose in life, as you come from your home to this part of the United States. Will you join the Legion, the powerful slavers who strive to overcome and murder the concepts of civilisation while you can? Or will you protect it and join the NCR? Maybe you'll just go your own way, and join the Crimson Caravan. Or you'll do as your ancestors did, and roam the wastes holding up passing caravans for money or supplies. The most important question of all, though;

    What's your story?

    Addons
Our server features many various workshop addons and Clockwork Plugins to make the experience flexible to how you want to have it.
    - Customizable Third Person allows for a cinematic variety in camera angles.
    - TnB is underway of being added in, it's all free, too. Depending on how long you stay in the server and stick with the community will determine when you get them.
    - Atmos is a fucking glorious Weather + Day/Night Cycle that does work with gm_atomic and adds to the immersion greatly.
    - Various Fallout Model/Prop Packs available in the Workshop Pack.
    - PAC 3 with complete usability, you want to make your character a little taller or is he a mechanic who carries a bunch of tools and a utility belt? Customize your model within reason and lore.
    - PlayX allows for the playing of ambient music across the server. Makes for great treks along the wasteland.
    - M9K adds a bunch of new weapons to fulfil the arsenal.

    Settlements
As well as addons, we aspire to make our map as gloriously detailed as possible. Every little thing in the map can be used for Roleplay. If you walk into a Gas Station and you see a man injured, you'll want to help that man. But what with? Surely you might be able to check the continently placed prop wreckages and /roll to pull out something to use as a crutch, perhaps? The environment is what makes the immersion, and we understand that very well.
Henceforth, we have a variety of locations custom made to add to the explorability of the worldspace. The map has a huge potential for new locations, and I hope you'll find that we've made the most of it.

    - Origin
A deserted Cityscape with buildings that have caved in on themselves from the inside out. They remained standing from the blasts of the atomic bombs, but none of them remain enter-able. The Legion reside here, in the main square. It's an isolated and remote City, just off of the Gas Station on Highway 98. Only one way into this part of the barren City, and only one way out. But that's not to say there's no other ways of attacking it.
Made entirely from scratch out of Stalker Building Props.

    - Throston
A small-ish town made out of crates. No, not the wooden kind. A freight train carrying a bunch of cargo was derailed and some survivors with some insane strength built this settlement many years ago. Or was it Super Mutants? No one knows. But it's a homely little place, under its own banner. The NCR want to protect it, and the Legion want to enslave it. The Brotherhood just want what's left over of the cargo.

    - Cloud
A tiny settlement of abandoned buildings, just outside of Origin's outskirts. Also under an independent banner, it remains the only settlement standing between Origin and Autumn.

    - Autumn
The last Military bunker in the East for miles, and of course, it and its surrounding buildings are owned by the New California Republic, who have established it not as a base but as a settlement. Wastelanders can seek free refuge here, and even gamble away some caps at Oliver Bowden's card games.

    Resource Depots
Events are what makes up the fun of being a faction member in our server. Every week or so, depending on the amount of Admins there are available to supervise and the ratio of one faction to another, each faction will be able to choose and fight for control of a resource depot in the map, and this will allow for certain perks, such as better weapons, cheaper ammunition, vehicles, etc. These depots are scattered across the map and can only be taken over in event. This adds for dynamic map changes, and can affect the lore.

    In Conclusion
Thanks for reading through, on behalf of my staff and what remains of CSG, I hope we can revive this awesome RP Schematic and breathe some more life out of Fallout!
    Hope to see you there!

Seen by the standards C16 seems to live by now, I can say with certainty that this is one of the few pylons left, in good Roleplaying quality.

    8/10, from previous experience.

    On paper, excellent.

In-game: Changing of lore, NCR acting like hardasses everywhere, regardless of who's near, and promotions atleast twice a day. That, and lazy admins, who leave situations with failRPing, and accept them.

    2/10.

  5. Looking really great, I'll head on and check it out. :)

I was not in an NCR town, and NCR doesn't go that far after people in the real game. Changing of lore, point proven.

    Changing of lore, yes.

I didn't see NCR Rangers chase me longer than when I was out of their town borders. Hmmmmmmmmm, is it because I've played this game more?

  13. TnB is overdone and the models just aren't that good, I don't see why so many communities use it.

    Go make better ones.

Rangers have chased me across the Mojave in New Vegas.

Maybe because you're not a scoundrel of the wasteland, Vonel.

  15. Those N.C.R Rangers sure get pissed when you kill Their leader and steal his magnum.

That's a glitch then, because they gave up on me. Being on bad relation with them, is unrelated to wether they are chasing you or not. Just don't go near them?

    Half Life Two Roleplay

    [size=14pt]Update!

Since the sudden expidential growth of our community and playerbase, we decided it would be a pretty cool idea to run a Half Life Two server to fill up more slots and give a wider variety of Roleplaying Options. It also allows for extra staff to man both servers, and ensure that you get the best out of your stay. As it is, the content used is barren, there is only the Half Life TnB installed. I know it is said to be overused, however I simply think the model designs are gorgeous.
I won't piss around writing a massive new thread, but here's some information.

    Lore
The year is 2017, and there is no hope left.
    On November 13th, 2016.
City 23, one of the worlds largest industrial centres, falls to the hands of the combined Resistance Cells of Europe. The Lambda Movement, The Shepherds, The Undead and The Cerberus Cell all stand tall in their new place of power over the CCA, controlling the distribution of rations packaging and Overwatch Armaments.

    On November 20th, 2016.
The Combine Civil Authority send in copious amounts of Overwatch Teams, Gunships and STORM Units. All ground units are met with heavy occupational resistance.

    On November 22nd, 2016.
What little resistance remained was brought to an end with blockades from supplies. Leaders are forced to surrender.

    On December 21st, 2016.
The leaders of the Lambda Resistance were brought to execution by the Combine Civil Authority. A shadow was cast over the world, a veil of silence set over the sky. Not a word was spoken by the humble civillians, as they watched the last apple remaining on the tree fall from grace. It was true, the Combine had finally won.

    On December 25th, 2016.
City 23 left in ruins, populace relocated to City 18's Industrial Quarter. Packs of Anti Civillian Cells form, but are left with very little to aspire to.

    On December 30th, 2016.
Mass martial law is in effect. Citizens gunned down for minor offences. Anti Civillian Cells take action. A storm is brewing in the crevices of the walls that uphold the Combine's power. In the world's largest industrial centre, what goes up is bound to fall.

You are a Civillian, freshly imported from City 23's ruined sectors.
    What's your story?

Will post IP + Content soon.

    Hope to see you there!

Bad, bad, bad idea. You get 50% of your server filled up. Starting it now, will reduce that to less than 10%, straining what playerbase you have.

Yeah, they spawn excessively, as they're more common than regular junk, I guess. Not my idea.
