General Info/Remarks

"The very strong Cloud 16ian economy, worth 258 billion Kurobuxes a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Pizza Delivery industry, with major contributions from Gambling, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Retail."

"Cloud Sixteen's national animal is the cow, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities."

New pending legislations:
The government plans to not have elections, my brother had this to say: "This raises an interesting issue, and that is: why do we need elections, anyway? Seems to me it would be much simpler if you just decided what was right, and did it. Wouldn't that save everyone a lot of time?"

The government plans to increase tariffs to combat foreign imports, the auto industry's union leader made this comment: "Unless this government does something, Cloud Sixteen won't have an auto industry for much longer, these foreign companies employ people for a few Kurobuxes a day. The only way to level the playing field is to raise tariffs. The government would make more money, too, so it's win-win."

Police will be cracking down on crime, Police Minister made this statement: "This 'slippery slope' argument has got me thinking, you know, it would be a lot easier to fight crime if we watched people all the time. Not with cameras, of course. That's clearly an invasion of privacy. But how about a national database of our citizens, coupled with compulsory ID cards and barcoding? It would stop crime dead in its tracks."

The government doesn't want spirituality, so they selected an ex-schoolteacher as the next religious advisor who says this: "If I am awarded the appointment, I will immediately resign, because, frankly, God is a big load of hokey. I'll be doing everyone a favor by just shutting up about it."

Unfortunately our state's information is compiled by a third party, no one in the administration really cares about what other people need or want.

We actually officially classified this as a criminal offence back in 2013, however we've gone out of our way to hide this so that we can arrest more unsuspecting people to seize their assets.

My personal view of zombines is that they're zombie, and combine (if you didn't get it). Heh heh. Okay.

As for Hobo Horse, I think it's nice that he read this thread.

Pending Legislations
The police will be enacting more serious punishments, conservative leader says: "Look, we do need more police, that's clear. But that's not enough. We need real punishments: sentences that will act as a genuine deterrent to people considering a life of crime. Like public floggings."

The government plans on cracking down on bicycle enthusiast protesters, a motorist makes this statement: "The only thing people are sick of is long-haired idiots riding their bicycles at two miles an hour on major thoroughfares, people shouldn't be able to protest like this. The government needs to crack down on them."

I had a feeling this would be brought up. Our newly formed council created a week ago discussed THOSE imposters, and found them to be such because everyone knows Cloud Sixteen isn't an Armed Republic.
