    That isn't how you use the command, and that does not give him any powers at all.

    You put 1 argument, when the command requires 2. Even if you did put two, he still would have no powers.

    There is in fact code involved. If you use no code for the rank then on the scoreboard, their rank wouldn't be ordered (i.e. rank wouldn't be above/below the defined order), they wouldn't be included in classes used for salesmen and they wouldn't be able to use any command/item that requires a specific class/rank.

    I found you can use /charsetclass or /plysetclass something like that to set them as "Elite Metropolice"
