Dan22's Level Designing Showcase

Discussion in 'Mapping' started by Dan22, Jan 7, 2015.

  1. Since I have no idea where my last topic went, I suppose I will start fresh. As you all may know I started to learn how to model and I finally put my knowledge of modelling and made an entire level with materials and models made by me by hand!

    Modern Work Place (UE4):

Let me know what you think about my models, materials and overall level design and what you want to see next!

    Thanks again!

    This is pretty damn awesome.
You take inspiration from anything or just sort of build?

  5. I search up furniture on google for inspiration and base the style of the models for building the level, glad you liked it also!

  6. Reminds me of Mirrors Edge.

    Very nice!

I love it! I look forward to see whatever you dicide to shoot for next! :D

  15. Holy shit the bumpmaps are real.

  16. Probably not, more like a displacement map from what I see. (The ground that is)

  17. Nice work.

What's with all the lens flare effects though? :S
    That lighting is intense....

  18. Its actually a model I made and I placed a load of them and resized them to make it seem like a terrain floor

The lens flare is in the default UE4 and I havn't used post processing so I wouldn't know how to turn that down.
Also for the lighting, its only bright because the further away you are, the shinier it is for some reason, I think it adjusts to brightnesses like your eyes do, again something in defaulty UE4

Personally I like the lens flare, I feel it adds to the atmosphere of the whole scene.
