Yo this actually looks pretty sweet, and that's coming from me.

Tempted to reinstall GMod just to check this out, might wanna post some more links and shit though.

Well I'm glad that some people actually agree with this! Some think it's preposterous that I dare step foot into actual HL2 territory... 'cos that's not what the gamemode is about or anything... *Cough*

 

People do tend to forget what it's based on sometimes.

 

I actually had an idea for this a few months ago.

This is awesome.

That's alotta content don't you think?
Are you really going to use all 59 items, because, content size is a big drawback for some people.

EDIT: I thought Gman only appeared to those connected to Black Mesa? (El, Gordon and Kliener I think. Breen also mentioned something about needing to keep his agenda with the 'higher-ups')

 

the content pack was an older one which was used when I was quite young and... enthusiastic. I am going to be emitting it after I've finished developing a few things.

Also the Gman thing wasn't serious...

 

Content pack has been sorted.

 

The content still looks a little bit big. Some of the stuff in it would personally drive me away, like the TnB megapack and PAC3.
Of course, that is your choice as the owner. Just seems a little too much.

 

This is my review of the server:
I'd like to point out that​

• I'm gonna hide the names of the people who were involved because 1- i dont remember the characters 2- because i want to keep them as anonymous
• This is from my POV, You're free to disagree with me or agree with me all you want.

The Review​

Came in like 6 days ago with a group of friends
We rp'd that one of our characters was a mad doctor so he had one of those surgery knives they use to cut people with
We walked around for awhile, until we found a few people on one of the warehouses
One of our friends got into the doorway so they couldn't escape. The others pinned the two guys down
One cooperated and RP'd correctly, the other one decided to failRP and try to jump off the railing (Invis wall stopped him) He tried to avoid rp at all costs so I called an admin, he kept trying to avoid RP
The mad doctor cuts the man open and takes out all this organs, putting them in different ziplock bags.
The other victim is still jumping around, he finally jumps out of the railway, and tries to get out of the warehouse, door's still blocked. We trap him in a corner and try to put him on the ground, he doesn't seem to want to react
Admin was there, and was like "ughhh [VICTIM NAME HERE] do you wanna p2l or roll", victim didn't respond for a while, admin kept asking, this went like this for 10 minutes until he finally answered with 'P2L'.
Finally we put him on the ground and cut him open. Another admin joins. Sees that we're cutting him open.
THe guy on the door looks at a guy coming near the warehouse, and attempts to tackle him down
The new victim starts to mingerun away. He doesn't seem to accept that a man was right behind him.
He mingeran to the nexus, I belive admin was still watching him, he didn't stop the new victim. Anyways. He gets to the nexus and reports it to a Civil protection officer. We attempt to make him shut up and pull him to the ground to cause a riot, but he doesn't seem to want to RP correctly.
We start to get banned for 'FailRP' and 'ESP' one by one by one of my friends who was admin there. (Even though we didn't use any sort of ESP, nor did we FAILRP)
My friend messaged me like 3 days later and tried to interrogate me. He always changed subject when i tried to prove our points. He asked me how we got the surgical knife and i was like 'My friend is a mad doctor, he got it from his backstory' He didn't give a fuck and tried to fight me over it.
Turned out the mingerunner was a guy we found on another server that did the same thing, trying to run from a pack of 5 people.

My rating to the server:​

Administration: 5/10. You got enough admins, but they handle situations poorly.
Roleplay: 7/10. Good RP, but could be enforced a bit more.
Map Decoration: 4/10 Was lacking some decoration, seemed like a regular HL2RP
Overall: 5/10.

Would I recommend?​

If you're into regular HL2RP, yes. If you're an elitist that only wants to see custom stuff, no.

Storyline based server?

Seems legit, but hopefully your administration, based on the previous post, can manage.

Unfortunate that such a rating was given but the staff Roster has been reconsidered and rearranged. The reason why I like a large staff team is because I like to have a wide coverage of moderation. I can also get hold of them using my phone, which there's no problem with communication on my part

But as for the Roleplay, it was entirely voided due to there being no authorisation for such tools to be granted let alone used. As well as that the group entered with the intent to harm characters. It would of been legit if we didn't start up only a few days before hand and the tools weren't used.

As for the "minge" he was in fact new to Roleplay and was beginning his first day in Roleplay. We were providing guides and lessons for him, which weren't finished.

Shame on the review but that's one of many others that could be posted that could possibly negate this review

 

May I also point out there's a section in the website created for character authorisations. We don't want people coming in to just kill other characters, especially if they're new.
