Canon:

1952

A few years after world war 2 the U.S. Government issued Aperture Science an assignment to
investigate what would happen if another earth shattering war would occur and the
government would fall. Aperture Science gladly accepted the assignment in full hope to win
the US Department of Defense's Contractor of the Year award.
Aperture Science received an abandoned city and a large group of test subjects. The
construction of a test facility and a large wall around and directly through the city
started.

Later that year Aperture Science lost the US Department of Defense's Contractor of the Year
award despite its' best efforts.


1954

The construction finished on one side of city where the test facility was located and
Aperture Science started to "import" test subjects. The other side remained closed.
The population only received food and water and even that was scarce.


1968

The testing stopped due to financial causes and Aperture Science went bankrupt.
The test subjects were released from the testing facility and took the facility's
technology with them.
The test subjects were still trapped inside the city and weren't rescued because this was an inhumane experiment, not even a single word was alowed to escape from the city.


1969

The city plunged into chaos when the resources ran out. People tried to escape from the
chaos by trying to seek entrance to the closed off area of the city. Going in from above
ground was no option because of "the great wall", a giant wall that seperated the city in
two parts. So people sought entrance through the metro tubes.
However, the majority of those tubes were flooded and contained poisonous fumes.
Many died, but only a handfull made it.

On our PhaseFour server we encourage good RP.
Killing for instance is unlike most other PhaseFour servers strictly bound by rules.

Some players choose to group up and become so powerfull that they gain the ability to rule the city, making laws for less wealthier and less powerfull people.
Untill another group comes by and takes over controll. Before one group can rule the city it must gain the right to rule. You earn this by roleplaying well with your group.

Others might chose for passive RP. This also gets rewarded with a special function within the population.

Our administration team keeps a close eye on our clients. This makes sure that everything is done with a valid reason or is roleplayed well.

The administration team is handpicked and contains the best roleplayers and ofcourse the best judges.

I like this server, it's quite fun even when it's not full.

 

Placed once and loved it, allways wanted to play again but i was too busy :<

 

Kind of indeed but with a more grimy feeling.

 

It's going to be hard to get good RPers on Phase Four.

Once a wild 9 year old sees that your server needs "RP",
He is going to think the F4 menu works.

 

Yes it is indeed hard to find such RPer.

I am simply trying to get rid of the name PhaseFour has gotten over the years. That PhaseFour is Clockwork's DarkRP. I think that that name is very degrading for such a gamemode.

 

From what I hear, P4 is slightly better than DarkRP but usually the admins fall victim to it, and begin to just DM eachother within a few months of it going up. Same with players when they get um... "Exosuits"? I don't know, I came from DarkRP, its terrible. Anyways, good luck with the community mate.

But still, maybe if you succeed with finding RPers I would give ya a visit

 

We currently allready have a playerbase that roleplays pretty decent, there some great roleplayers in the playerbase aswell.

 

I /sometimes/ play on EEG.

 

EEG was the reason why you started playing HL2RP seriously.
