    INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Vauria. We are a brand new Half-Life 2 roleplay server dedicated to bringing our community the most immersive roleplay possible. To do this, we're constantly thinking about Half-Life 2 roleplay in new ways. We drive the Civil Worker's Union with out-of-game documented content such as workshift logs, and performance reviews to help facilitate an extensive, immersive roleplay. As for our Civil Protection, a quick incident report might be filled out by a mid-level unit under certain circumstances. We just as well incorporate our citizens as much as we can. I'll dive more in-depth on each faction below.

    CIVIL PROTECTION
Like some other servers, our Civil Protection is driven by a rank-point system. The more points a unit accumulates, the higher their rank becomes. Points are distributed via the Dispatch, and any given unit may gain/lose points as a result of a good/bad performance review, disciplinary action, or even just because they participated in a patrol or a sweep. Our Civil Protection also do not obtain any special augmentations upon receiving a rank. We believe this makes a rather unfair advantage for many other players. As such, we've done away with that.
This feature is a work in progress! This is only a snapshot of the early-development.

    DIVISIONS
LOCK - This division is basically just a standard checkpoint division. Their main objective is to guard any checkpoints or restricted areas.
TECH - This division is our engineering division. Their main objective is to keep all of the Combine technology up and running.
WING - This is our medical division. They assist in any patrols/sweeps to make sure that all Civil Protection units are healthy at all times.
HAWK - This is our specialized division. These are the main units who conduct raids of Civil Housing areas or sweeps of District Zero.

    Civil Worker's Union
While the Civil Worker's Union are just normal citizens with extra responsibilities, we like to emphasize their role in the server. Upon acceptance into the Civil Worker's Union, a player can expect to gain access to Google Spreadsheets in order to fulfill required documented amount of weekly shifts as well as to keep track of which citizens have participated in how many work-details. The Civil Worker's Union also supply local shops from a designated area.

    Lamlux Industries
Lamlux Industries is a Universal Union regulated scientific research facility. Their objective is to help further citizen technology and have the opportunity to bring to life any of their ideas they'd like to see implemented into the server through roleplay (expedited). All-in-all, this faction is a roleplay in and of itself. All documents are top-secret and must be kept between the industry, or there are severe consequences.

    Citizens
Finally (for now), we have your standard citizen. There isn't a whole lot different about this faction. There are a few additional features for Citizens such as work detail, randomly selected and supervised workshifts that are controlled by the Civil Worker's Union and often reward citizens with food/water, and occasionally loyalty points. Another feature for citizens is Civil Worker's Union supplied shops: There are several opportunities around the map that citizens may ask to lease on a weekly basis in order to gain tokens. Finally, loyalists have priority access to Union Housing, which is much more comfortable than your standard apartment. More features are planned to be added to citizens.

As of current, there are many extra features planned to be added, as this server is currently in the development process. We are accumulating a player base and would like to obtain a regular community as we proceed with this process. We hope to see you all in game! :)

Very unique as opposed to regular cookie-cutter HL2RP servers. Finally something that focuses on broadening CitizenRP and immersing the players.
I will without a doubt check it out, any idea on a release date?

  5. Question, is there anything """unique""" for citizens to do other than the standard stuff you describe in this thread?
Because I don't really consider workshifts and shops as """unique"""

When I say unique, I'm referring to the fact that the server is making CitizenRP more of a priority, which is something you rarely see these days.

  7. We're currently coming up with ways to incorporate our citizens in almost everything we do. We want to keep that "fear factor" that comes along with Civil Protection and the Universal Union, but at the same time we'd like to find more ways to involve the basic player. So we might do things such as city-wide polls on the current living situations and what citizens would like to have improved, or even Union-organized events. I'd love to expand on this, but we're very much still working on the details. Plus, a little surprise is fun once in a while.
