A new government known as the New California Republic has begun to unify the southern towns and is spreading to the north. A mysterious new organization known as the Enclave has emerged with the most sophisticated technology in the wastes, even surpassing the Brotherhood of Steel. A new drug, jet, has become a cancer on many towns, its addictive properties forcing many to rely on the town of New Reno to keep them supplied.

Raiders, sometimes referred to as Bandits, are any group of wastelanders who pillage, plunder, murder, or otherwise ruin the dayofanyone unfortunate enough to not be one of them. Raiders tend to organize into loose confederations of gangs in the and are a constant post-apocalyptic wasteland problem. Raiders typically prey upon travelers and very small towns, leaving more populous or larger areas alone.
New California Republic

The majority of the NCR populace is made up of farmers, travelling merchants and poor settlers seeking protection from the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world - a luxury usually only available to the rich and powerful. In exchange for their protection, the NCR classes them as a 'citizen' and collects taxes from them which is mostly used on the military to arm, train, and supply their troops. Citizenship can be given to entire settlements and put under NCR jurisdiction if requested, however this practice is controversial in the Mojave due to rumors of the NCR supposedly bullying weaker settlements and incorporating them against their will.
The NCR enforces strict rules upon their citizens and in their cities: crimes across the Mojave are typically punished by death. Openly carrying arms, prostitution, gambling, and slavery are not permitted within NCR city limits. Persons found under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be arrested.Despite government playing a large part in the daily lives of citizen, the NCR is not authoritarian and is generally liberal towards people who commit minor crimes
Master's Army Remants

One of the leaders of the Master's Army fled to the East after the death of the Master and the destruction of Mariposa Military Base. Some time after their departure, Gammorin's mutants were pursued by Brotherhood of Steel airships. While most of them ended up in the vicinity of Chicago. There are rumors about the remants that they've been seen near Rat Town..They wear a heavy armor and equipped with weapons but no one knows where they are located..

Rat Town is a deteriorated shanty town situated in the North-West of the wasteland. Although it used to be a self-sufficient trading post which was run and guarded by a rather entrepreneurial militia, the town was set upon and completely overrun by raiders in late 2240. The unsuspecting populace were completely slaughtered by the unruly horde of chem addicts and bloodthirsty mercenaries, and the few men and women who managed to survive the initial attack were later used and sold as healthy stock by the local slavers.
The town is now a fetid cesspit inhabited by petty criminals, gun-running gangs, and wanted fugitives. As the NCR have all but surrendered their jurisdiction of the settlement in the hope of not inciting organized attacks against the nearby town of Shady Sands, the town is now run by vermin and scum who extort protection money from those unfortunate enough to reside there. However, some of the residents of Rat Town are perhaps more amicable than one would suspect, with an emerging engineering and repair trade beginning to flourish in the village.

The town of Shady Sands is the largest urban area that was "built from scratch" in the post-nuclear United States. Founded in 2142 by one of the groups emerging from Vault 15, it was jump-started using the G.E.C.K. , which allowed the dwellers to establish a self-sufficient community and erect adobe buildings. In the 2240s, the small settlement grew and expanded, forming one of the most influential political factions to emerge in the post-War United States, the New California Repbulic.
By 2161, Shady Sands was merely a small, thriving settlement, completely self-sufficient, managing to irrigate some of the wasteland soil to support crops (primarily maize and cabbage), drill a well to provide them with water, and even establish brahmin herds. Citizens kept mostly to themselves, but proved large enough to deter most of the problems the wastes presented; primarily the local Khan raiders and repeated attacks by radscorpions. Both of these threats slowly escalated, as radscorpions became more numerous and aggressive, while the raiders constantly focused their strength and numbers on the fledgling township. Their grown crops and resources managed to sustain the region, but were also always in short supply.
Gatekeeper's Grove ( Minetown )

Gatekeeper's Grove is a small town filled with mines.. The group which live there is called Gatekeeper's Grove , they are a small group equipped with light weapons. They usually hide somewhere in the town.
