Event Horizon Roleplay - A community in need.

Greetings, fine roleplayers, contributors and developers of Cloud Sixteen.

I come before you with a simple request. I shall be succinct; EHRp is practically a neophyte community for one simple reason. While the original saw its origins back in 2008, it had undergone so many name changes that the original community had dispersed in an exiled diaspora. The original owners ran away with all of the community's cash from donations and whatnot, leaving the servers and the forums to die a slow, painful death. As of now, consider Event Horizon a brand-new community with a brand-new server.

So, for the first time I have purchased the HL2RP schema and a server through the official, recommended host. (HC). While I have played HL2RP for many a year, and even got to manage and administrate the last couple of servers I committed myself to, I have never owned a dedicated server nor have I immersed myself in server.cfgs and command lines.

My plea, therefore, is simple albeit a tad pathetic; I am addressing any and all of you who are interested in commencing a fresh journey, helping build a community from the ground up with responsible, fun-loving and creative managers to leave an imprint of our own in the hearts of our future players. I am personally requesting the following:

[*]A tech-savvy superadmin, who may become the community's co-owner, to help me manage plugins, configurations, server maintenance etc.
[*]A community manager to administrate the forums with me and become the head admin.
[*]Any and all of you who are interested in our efforts to rebuild a community from the ashes and enjoy a HL2 roleplay server with mature, non-minge peeps.

I know I may be shunned, refused and shot down and I do not expect much support here. "Lmao, look at this noob. Can't even manage a server through a control panel." But still, I am willing to give it a very strong effort in memory of what this community once was to those who were a part of it. "If you build it, they will come.""

So what have you seen or heard about these forums that you thought you'd get a response like

I mean, yes. I wouldn't doubt there are people on these forums like that, but a response like that shouldn't even be taken seriously.

Anyway, this look interesting and you seem like a competent person. I may check it out.

Apologies for the double-post!

Just wanted to let you know that we have a sh*tty rudimentary forums to go on and register, perhaps to post an introduction post and whatnot. Also, I will be making an official community thread here in the C16 forums. In there, I will announce the date and time of our first event which hopefully will serve as the server's official launch! I hope [member=5634]Vex[/member] is around to critique it, as per his modus operandi.
