"
Striving for excellence throughout the gaming community."
Hello and thank you for reading the thread! It's me again, back with another good server to please the crowd. I've ran Fallout: Orion roleplay and was a manager on Premium Gaming's HL2RP, and now I've joined another community named Exodious Network. People were generally pleased with those servers, and I'm hoping to bring another good experience with HL2RP. I've been playing around on servers and have rather grown tired of stale roleplay, I want something progressive - a story, and so I've partnered up with an old friend in attempt to create a progressive roleplay that people will remember and love.
The story takes place after Episode Two, however it is not based in City 17, but rather somewhere in Northern Europe. Realistically, cities would still be up and running, but with the Lambda Resistance launching their rocket which successfully destroyed the portal storms, Earth was successfully cut off from the Combine Empire's grasp. Essentially, no more reinforcements can come in, and no one can escape. Left naked essentially, the Combine forces remaining on Earth tightened their grasp on the cities, some turned into strongholds so that any resistance would be crushed at once, some simply didn't care. The destruction of the portal would be suppressed at once by the media in the city, leaving the citizens in the remaining cities blind about a rebel victory. With no reinforcements coming in as previously said, and no active supply chain from the Combine Overworld, the law has become all but strict, the Civil Protection are more brutal then ever. Rumors of on the spot executions for even holding a piece of Lambda propaganda are constantly told within City Eleven, the city you are in. You live in a communist like regime, where your voice doesn't matter. Your money can be seized from you by the Civil Protection at any time if they believe your funds are too high. You are stripped of all rights, you are told where to work, what to think, what to say, and what to believe. A powder-keg has built up overtime due to the brutal treatment from both the Lambda and the Combine, but ultimately for the Citizens, what revolution will take place if no one is willing to die for a cause and light the match?

We prize ourselves on the fact that we want progression in a server. Every server I've personally been on, it gets boring rather quick after roleplaying in the city for a week. The roleplay has to keep moving for it to be interesting. So, we've decided to make our roleplay into chapters, how this would work is for example, chapter one may last a week or two before progressing on to the next one. In order for a server to be interesting, you have to make it dynamic, you have to make the events have an impact on your situation in-character wise. We've decided to also
open up a newspaper on our website where an article will be posted every two to three days and you will be able to read events happening in and out of City Eleven. Different chapters will also lead to different locations, eventually there
will be an uprising, and you will see the brutality of a revolution firsthand. Players will see what it is like to move from peaceful city life, to a dark burnt out society where survival of the fittest is displayed.

The Civil Protection for the first few chapters will play a big role in the server, influencing the progress of the story and ultimately becoming a key faction. Composed of collaborators, City Eleven's Civil Protection has been noted to be extremely stubborn and defiant until the end, resistance pockets in certain sectors were crushed with rapid speed. We encourage only a few members to join this faction, as this will have to be put to the side for what we consider fairness. Citizen roleplay has been all but put at the bottom, nothing interesting ever happens, nor does anyone care. We care because we believe that Citizen roleplay is the core of the server, not the Civil Protection, Overwatch, or any other factions. However, members that play this faction have to understand that they need to create the missing link that is often seen on past servers, and hogging all the good roleplay isn't acceptable. This time, the Citizen faction will receive the most catering. On a positive note, you won't be so lonely by interacting with your Citizen buddies. We also encourage a human attitude when playing a Civil Protector to create good roleplay

With that said, we hope to see you on the server sometime.

Our release date is also 4/16/16 at around 5PM Pacific Time. We hope to see you there!
On a side note, please sign-up on our forums so that we can connect with users directly, instead of out-sourcing to Cloud Sixteen.
On another side note from me personally, a lot of you may have heard about the Fallout: Orion incident, I won't go into detail, but for those who do know and are reading this - it's over now. We all grew up and got over our differences and decided to work with one another again. I hope the last incident doesn't deter you from joining, but I just felt like I needed to convey that the past is the past, and we're done with that part of the year, and we've moved on!
