[Finished] Clone Wars

Straight from the childhood, and into GMOD.​

Who I am:

I'm Delta as you should know from my username. I've been playing lots of role-playing games for up to five years now. Enjoying every single moment of it. I decided it was time to try, and make my own schema. Though there is no official developer key yet I've began doing the basics for it. Recently I've been reading lots of Star Wars books, most being Republic Commando. I remembered a while back someone had brought up the idea of a Clone Wars RP. Though no community ever went through with it. So I've been making it from scratch for around two weeks now mostly learning my way through trial and error.



Factions:

Clone Troopers
First to fight, and among the best Mandalorian soldiers in the Universe. This is the basic starting faction for most players who pass training. The ranks are no different than your average military, and main milestone ranks (Sgt, Captain, Lieutenant, Commander) are all displayed by different colored armor.






Clone Medical
Often last to the fight, and the ones to clean up the aftermath. It's a faction meant for people who are based around passive RP. With the Star Wars canon being in effect there is a large variety of medical supplies to work with.






Clone Pilot
The boys in yellow who get to bring their buddies to, and from the front lines. At the main vessel they have access to two main star-fighters. The LAAT with a max speed of 620km/h to the ARC-170 meant to bring down any ship required. Both used for defensive, and offensive purposes.





Advanced Recon Clone (ARC)
The men who have surpassed their ability to command, and are among the great Mandalorian warriors. With a small infantry jetpack at their side, and a standard DC-17A rifle they are able to bring a true punch to the enemy.





Clone Commando
Commando's are among the best of the best. Trained by individual sergeants, and put through the hardest training known to man they are truly a challenge for the enemy. They cover anything from assassinations, VIP transports, to intel gathering these are the men for any job.

Feedback on the idea would be much appreciated. This is currently being made off the standard skeleton schema.

As I said in the post. I believe two people did it, and I never actually saw it go up. I know one community did have it for a couple days before taking it down. Then RJ has also made a Clone Wars for another guy I believe though it was too costly for him to buy. So, this has been made before but hardly anyone has actually put it up onto a server.

as a note

try not to refer to the clones as mandalorians

mandalorian denotes one of three things:

human system including concordia, concord dawn, mandalore, et al

the extinct tuang species indigenous to coruscant

collective of various individuals in one or more mandalorian warrior organizations such as the neo-crusaders, death watch, true mandalorians, mandalorian protectors, et al


clones do not regard themselves as belonging to any mandalorian denotation; they are kaminoan bred republic troopers developed and propagated in accordance with subversive sith influences, from the physically and mentally apt template jango fett, mandalore of the time and True Mandalorians

All clones are the same damn people, and would each act very...similar, Janga Fett wanted this because it would allow for absolute subordination for each trooper, insubordination is almost never a thing, until palapatine and anakin came around.
Edit: This does not include the independent Commanders, obviously.

I've heard then name go both ways, also, I haven't read up on my star wars lore in a while, and I'm talking about the fucking movies not that bullshit knock-off cartoon.

Did a bit more work on it today. Got a few logo things completed, and worked on classes. Also got a few hooks/schema things done too. Now I just need to test this to see if it can stand on it's feet. Could also use a few people to help me with coding if possible. Still learning how to code so I could use a person who wouldn't mind the daily question.

Apologies for no recent updates, but I've finished this off for the most part. Got to send a request for a developer key too. The basics, and some advanced things are done. I'll release some screenshots or something soon.

You should hook up some old clone voice-commands for their old vocoders and stuff.

Those would work great as well if you could find a way to bring them over to gmod

It's possibru but it would be tough to dig into the game files and pick out the files I need. Just surfing along you-tube sites right now trying to find a sound effects pack or something.

Oh god...

Hold your hearths, commando/snipers.

Automatically assume people want to take those two positions and would do nearly anything to receive those, they are automatically, very, awesome, and you will disappoint people if they do not get it.

This is why I always remove snipers/commando/ghost/airborne and similar stuff from my servers, everyone wants to be the powerful ninja killing everyone with a /roll or a /me, its annoying for others though.

I hope you know what you are doing, and I wish you goodluck with it. Correct me if I am wrong though, I am just talking from personal experience.

I suggest condensing all of those classes into once clone trooper faction. Also, maybe have a separatist faction and perhaps a Jedi/Sith faction.
