FOURTH DIMENSION GAMING​

Welcome all to a brand new yet not so new server. The revival of Fourth Dimension Gaming. Whether you heard of us or not, we are definitely not the same Fourth Dimension Gaming as when we were first born. Some of our old admins have returned bringing experiences from other servers, which allows us to expand our capabilities as a server. We have begun customization and are working hard to make a perfect experience for you.​

Canon​

The year is 2018. Combine forces have expanded and have begun fusing human technology with their own. They have grown stronger. But their growth has not gone unnoticed. The Lambda movement in the industrial district of City 17 has been working hard, and are slowing down the combines advancement, even though they don't know it. With the top soldiers and scientists by their side, the Resistance fights silently but lethally for the freedom of humanity. Unfortunately, combine spies have been able to infiltrate the resistance, making it impossible for them to communicate with the other cities. Though due to the resistance quiet footsteps, the combine have an 'improvement' in the human species, allowing greater luxuries, and one step closer to allowing reproduction, and lowering the suppression field. Industrial City 17 is becoming a beacon of freedom to the citizens eye, but the combine remain one step ahead...For now...

Combine Civil Authority​

The Civil Protection is the same as all the other cities, and enforce the same laws. Civil Protection ensures the safety of civil society, by making sure each citizen is properly registered, doesn't break the laws and remains in good civil nature.

RCT: The starting rank for all Civil protection units. Recruits have no access to special areas, and may not leave the nexus. They do not have access to any weaponry other than the stunstick, unless given permission by an officer or higher.

05-03: Standard civil protection units. Finally have some authority in the combine ranking structure, and are allowed 9mm pistols. Level 1 access is authorized at these ranks.

02-01: Getting closer to higher ranks means more privileges. 02's and 02's have level 2 access, which permits MP7's and smoke/fragmentation grenades. You may boss around lower units, but don't overdue it.

OfC: A Civil protection Officer is a respected rank among the Combine Civil Authority. You have proven your loyalty to the Union and have exceeded in your field of work. You have level 3 access, which permits shotguns, and you may boss around lower units. You now have the ability to authorize the distribution of rations, and may amputate citizens who have earned 16 anti-citizens points or more, or are members of the resistance.

EpU-SpU: Elite protection units and Special protection units have level 4 access, and may enter the slums if permission is granted by a DvL or higher.

DvL: Divisional leaders obviously lead their specific division. They are in charge of all units with their designated division, and have level 5 access. You are permitted to any weapon other than AR2's, and may authorize Judgement Waivers and access to the slums for other units.

SeC: The Sectorial commander is in charge of all Civil protection units in his sector. He has level 5 access, and is permitted to use all weapons including exclusive prototypes. You have authority to command units, call judgement waivers and more.

OTA-EOW: Soldiers of the combine. Highest ranks as they are completely brainwashed and have max augmentations. Level 5 access.​

Citizen Roleplay​

Citizens must each register once they enter the City, so that they can access rations and pass certain checkpoints. The slums are completely off limits, and trespassing will almost always result in amputation. Citizens are each allowed to own 1 room, and have 1 roommate. Citizens may eat Union Branded food at any local shops designated by the Civil Workers Union, and may purchase their own shops if they can afford it. Citizens with loyalist points are given more rations, have access to more areas and are treated better by the combine. Anti-citizen points will cause suspension from ration distribution, no access to certain areas of the city and will be treated worse by the combine.

Applications and Addons​

it's all a work in progress. Currently we need to remove some mods which we do not need at all...And get some new ones that will help your experience. We are also a TnB server, so if you do not have it, you may experience some walking errors. TnB models will be given to donators only, so it shouldn't be to bad.

Applications for CCA are held randomly IC if there's a lot of players and a desperate shortage of Cps, or players can apply on the forum. Other factions and special applications are held on the forum. So visit us!

About Us​

I myself have been roleplaying with hl2rp for about 2 years, and have administrated and owned many servers. The owner, Skibbles, has had his fair share of experience as well, and has minimum to decent lua coding skills along with me. We are trying to keep within canon, but also become unique. So, we need players suggestions to make a perfect server. with the expansion of the player base, more administration will be required. I don't get it. Where's the custom? Everything here seems pretty Clockwork-vanilla to me.

What exactly gives you the right to be selling models that other people made? Rather immoral.

So you're willing to just take any minge/shitRPer you can find and make him into a unit? Great idea. I doubt that'll lead to any problems.

You failed at that pretty hard. Just look at your CCA rankings, CCA recruitment, CWU...etc.

Also failed at that pretty hard. From what the thread states, you pretty much downloaded Clockwork and threw in TnB and perhaps a few plugins found off the C16 forums.

You not only forgot to put up an IP, but your grammar needs correction and the server looks like it's headed towards becoming a recipe for disaster (see: CCA recruitment) as well as generic (see: nearly everything being CW-vanilla) and minge-ridden as well. You might want to rethink your plans for 4DG before taking it any further than this.

 

This is probably the shittiest thing a server can do. Using something that your community didn't even make to promote donation... That's just sad. Using a completely cosmetic factor that does nothing but add diversity to promote donations is also sad. If you can't afford to keep your server up without donations, then don't put a server up, but don't use TnB's models as a donation benefit.

 

First off. Why you guys gotta be so harsh. Second, regarding the CCA recruitment, each player is interviewed shortly and they have to pass basic training. Failing to use decent /me's or use them at all will cause you to fail. Once they finish about an hour and a half of that, they become RCTs where more training will be involved.

Regarding the TnB. I agree, actually. Kind of is a major dick move. It was something suggested to me and something used on another server, apparently. So i agreed as it would help with funding. That idea will be scratched.

Regarding customization. We haven't done much because we only just started. More customization will come in time depending on user feedback. I didn't put as much detail in the forum post about everything than I could've, which may have thrown you off a little.

And with staying canon. We want to get a balance between staying close to the lines of canon, but go off just a bit to make it more unique, which brings the ranking.

Not being harsh, it's called being honest. I'm not going to donate for a server that uses other communities hard work as a donation benefit. Make them available to whoever asks and I'll *consider* joining.

 

this server isn't unique in anyway possible and makes it stand out even as badly as it is because you sell models which aren't even created by you.

Its simply a server with plugins grabbed from C16, and TnB Models added. Basically Vanilla CW.

 

I don't see anything wrong with adding cosmetic perks to donators. Not like it gives them an advantage. Would you rather they gave donators free guns and uniforms?

 

It's not their Models, it's Taco and Banana's. They don't own the right to redistribute it.

He didn't, and I'm pretty sure TnB charge communities that do it.
