Seeing a Owner post that on his own thread means his server is dying, RIP From The Ashes, No thanks but i'll pass.

 

His server never started cause you guys never got on.

 

He has a point, we never started cause no one ever actually joined when they said they would.
I'm expecting it to be more lively on the weekend, even Oliver said he might join.

Edit - It's a shame really, we've advertised in places professionally and given a good enough look into what the server is about and we've had about one person come on the server from C16, and that was Top-Hat.

Edit2 - I forgot Pure Hipster joined too, both of them seemed to have liked it and have posted in the thread or past threads before saying they enjoyed it and thought it was good. I feel that what we have as content is very good but we just have no one to share it with because no one is joining, I'm not sure why.

 

It takes time.

 

Many popular communities took months to get popular, you can't expect everyone to flock to the server the moment it is up. Invite your friends and shown them a reason for them to stick around and come back again.

Yeah, I understand that. I'm just expecting that the people who say they would join would have joined. None the less I'm expecting more people around this weekend, I've got around 20 people in my HL2RP section of friends or so but it's getting them to join .

Something I'd like to point out.


Your Combine Confederacy Transhuman faction refers to a singular Transhuman.

Maybe change it to something like Combine Confederacy Transhuman Divison or something.

I dunno. Just a suggestion.

 

I can understand where you're coming from but it's "Transhuman" Like say OTA, Overwatch Transhuman Arm. It sounds rather awkward if you say "Transhumans" in either OTA or CCTH. "Overwatch Transhumans Arm" or "Combine Confederacy Transhumans". Maybe it's just me.

 

Cool screenshots and all, but I think factions like the Bandits, BMD, etc should actually be a player-made faction. Factions like the Universal Union should really be only one whitelist that includes the CCT and Conscripts. As for the Lambda remnants, they should also be a player-made faction or multiple player-made factions that have different purposes or movements. One can be arms suppliers while another supplies contraband food.

tl;dr

Universal Union, Citizens and Creatures should be the only factions.

BMD, Bandits, Refugees and Resistance should be based under citizens.

 

But that doesn't make that much sense, the Universal Union is one of the smallest factions in the canon now, we also don't have Citizens because there are no Cities left to be a Citizen in. We also need the custom factions so that people can access their appropriate salesman and faction doors. Resistance doesn't exist either as there is nothing to resist against any more, thus the Lambda Union.

Bandits and Mercenaries don't have a custom faction, those are all player based, it's just a part of the thread is all.

 

What this really needs to truly work flawlessly is more players and loot spawns.

The player-base to obviously make the Player based groups and start causing things and Bleh.

And the loot spawns as I've talked with you Tomo for, Of course.
Actual scavenging so these player based groups can form, mug, Whatever. Just something to help give then their push.

 

Yeah, however as much as I'd like a giant boom of population like we've currently had, we also need to wait until we get our dedicated server back up properly. (Should be soon, like REAL soon).

The server is currently down today as I'm going to be working on it as much as I can to improve its overall function, this includes any issues I have currently found and even adding more function such as scavenging and loot spawns. I'd like to get crafting but damn it's an expensive plugin, does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?

 

Cheaper Alternative = Make your own loot spawn plugin.
Or, Use the free version. I think there's one anyways.

If I have free time though I'll try and work on a Free loot spawn plugin.
Because what else do I have to do? May aswell right?

No I mean Cheaper Alternative for the crafting plugin, not the loot spawn. However any assistance anyone can give would be great, you will be rewarded with sex. Lots of passionfilled sex.
