Frozen

    I watched Frozen a couple weeks ago, I don't think it was as amazing as the hype said it was. Tell me what you thought of the movie. On an honest rating I'd give it my generic Disney moving rating: 4/5. it wasn't terrible, it wasn't amazing, it was Disney.

    I seriously stay away from that movie for reasons.
    To me, it's completely idiotic. But, all the girls at my school go fucking nuts over it.

    Tydosius I am deeply sorry.

    I haven't seen it, but I have seen a review of it that praises it as the return of Disney renaissance, and in a way I can see why.

    Later in the year, the same reviewer reviewed The Amazing Spiderman 2, which he hated, and sent him on a 'gold rating' streak of movies, probably because in comparison to the above movie, they were 'gold rating'.

    I went into the movie with an open mind, even though I'm a male.
    I've taken three different girls on dates to this movie, and I enjoyed it enough each time.

    From an animation standpoint, it was quality stuff. Obviously the studios at disney who just pump out generic 3D movies each year can only get so good, but the particle effects at least impressed me enough to invoke awe upon me.

    The score for the movie (excluding the musical numbers) are very well done. The musical pieces, however, are good standalone songs (example: Let It Go) but as a whole don't seem to fit together. I'm not entirely sure why, honestly.

    The story itself was based upon the Danish (I think Danish but I'm unsure) story of the Snow Queen. Obviously this was not carried over exactly into the Disney adaptation. However the motivations of Hans were done perfectly. His character was based off of a mirror who only shows the viewer what they wished to see. That is why the main character, Anna, was interested in marrying him in one day. However, the motivation and character development of Elsa was horrible. The movie failed to make me care about her.

    All in all, I give this movie a 7.5/10 but on a good day maybe an 8/10 because of Olaf.
