Having cancer, I have my funeral very well thought out. It's gonna be great. Although tbh if I knew I was going to die, I would rather have a living funeral. That shit would be awesome.
Okay so I'm in a Catholic family so I'll probably have a Catholic funeral. Meh about Catholic mass, but it would give my family better closure.
So for the opening procession I'm going with Qui-Gon's funeral music.
For the offertory hymn, I'm thinking Hurt in the style of Johnny Cash. Not sure though. Maybe Danny Boy instead.
For the rite of peace, definitely The Gathering by Michael Giacchino.
For the communion, I Am The Bread of Life, to appease the music director.
For the post-communion reflection thing that they do at some masses, Fix You by Coldplay.
For the exit procession, The Mansions of the Lord. Traditionally a song for soldiers, idrc all too much its a badass song.

this is a depressing thread now
everyone should post their funeral music so I dont seem self-serving

I lived most of my life in Eastern Ukraine, most people are orthodox there, so was my family (I don't assign myself to any specific religion now a days). Since I lived in a city I would see many funerals during school etc. because the music started as the person was taken out of the building and the residents of the apartment block would all come out as respect. I can never forget the music... it was beyond depressing, it was scary in fact and probably slightly traumatized me as a kid. I guess it was a cultural thing, but I could never get use to it. You chose really beautiful and even some bad-ass music :) it just an atmosphere I would want to say good bye to a loved person. I've been back in Ukraine over the summer, I lost a few old friends to the revolution and it made me think about death a lot, and for me the scariest about dying is not the death itself, but what comes after. Anyway, it's really shit that cancer even exists, and I really hope you get to live a long and awesome life despite having it, world is very unpredictable. I can never understand what it's like to be in your situation, It's just really shitty to see so many awesome people as yourself in that type of a situation :( But you still seem like a very positive person despite your situation and that makes you amazing, I love you :) Very great set of songs

    I won't have a funeral. Because I won't die.
I kid I kid Ily don't kill me. I've not actually thought about my funeral that much, never had a reason to, probably wont any time soon.

I've always wanted 'Always look on the bright side of life'.

    It'd just make people cheerful.

  8. This is going to be both mine and my Father's closing song.

We both agreed that we'd use it, and a few others.

  10. I can't say that I've posted a lot (Because I haven't literally this is my second post on these forums) But I just wanted to say that I say Kudos to you for living with what you have. Having Cancer is no easy feat and thinking about death and planning your own funeral can't be fun either. Although a necessary evil, so it has to be done regardless. Anyways, I have to say that I hope the best for you and your current condition. I can't say that I've had a lot of personal experience with cancer seeing as though I luckily haven't ran into it in my family at all or with my friends, but I know it's not fun.

P.S. I hope to experience roleplay with you in the future as you seem to know how to actually properly do it.
P.P.S. Awesome music choices as well. :D

    ~Best Of Luck
