Who we are: Gamer's Republic was founded by a group of friends who love Garry's Mod. All of came from different gamemodes, and our community primary consisted of those games for the first few months it was around
Then in early January we opened our HL2RP server to the public, and its been booming ever since.
Our staff are completely dedicated to ensuring quality for all players, and all new staff are carefully monitored to weed out anyone who would use their powers to ruin the experience of other players. But dont take my word for it,
I asked several players who are not staff to summarize why they enjoy playing on our server and this is what they had to say:

Why we are unique: We have several features on our server that we think you are sure to enjoy

Political Parties: We currently have had two different parties on the server, but anyone can post an application on the forums to try and have their own party allowed on the server, the following is directly from our forums:

Platform:

Military: We Believe in a Strong Central Military, The Police (CCA) and Military (Conscripts) In this Party. Military will have Complete control on the Day to Day functions of the City. All Resistance is 0% Tolerable, and will be Dealt with Accordingly. City Wide Security comes first before all others.

Environment: We believe in a Safe and Clean living and work Environment for our Citizens, we will work toward a cleaner city.

CWU: Civil Workers Union is a Big part of the CIty. The Civil Workers Union will always be held on the Best Interest of the Party but will not Succeed the Limits Civil Protection Agency's Rules.

Political Parties: We Believe in a Single Party System, we wont to Eliminate the Other Parties, not out of Competition, But for the sake of having no Conflicts in Voting.

City Funds And Finances

Current Treasury: 18,000 Tokens.
Recent Expenses/Income:

Anytime a major event happens in the city, these stats will be affected, and in turn will change how your gameplay experience is on the server. For example: When these stats were posted, all of the positive stats were at 100% and everyone was enjoying a prosperous time in the city, but if the economy were to drop, so would the positive stats of the city, and the negative ones would increase, if the CC and CA cant pay for infrastructure, the walls protecting the city wouldn't stay up to date and would start to weaken, cause Necrotic and exogen outbreaks.
The city income is based off of workshifts done by the players, and is also drained with expenses of the city.

Workshifts: These are another feature of our server created by a staff member that makes RP much more enjoyable. How many of you have played on 17 industrial and heard
"Attention City 17, working class citizens report to warehouse 3 immediately."
Only to show up and do a /me for all of your work?
We have an interactive workshift system that has players actually interacting with it, either packing rations, or scraping down metal to make ingots.

Combine Civil Authority

The CCA of C17 is currently split into 3 divisions: UNION, GRID, & JURY. Once we have enough CCA we plan on expanding to other divisions if we need to.
Our ranks go from RcT-i5-i4-i3-i2-i1-SqL-OfC-EpU-DvL
and we offer both IC and OOC applications

Overwatch Transhuman Arm

The OTA divisions consist of ECHO, SHIELD, and Ranger. Units who prove themselves get promoted to EOW and enter the KING division. Players can apply OOC or IC once they get to i1 in the CCA.

Civil Workers Union

The CWU are split in 2 divisions, medical and retail. Medical members work in the medical center, providing healthcare to citizens, while retail members operate the shops and sell Union approved items.

City Council

The City Council are high ranking loyalist hand picked by the City Administrator, each one filling their own specific role, they are also the successors to the Administrator if he is ever killed.

City Administrator

The City Administrator is the head of the council, and mandates the entire city. You are either a member of the council who is voted into power, or placed into power during an emergency transition if the Administrator was killed.

Conscripts (Due to an in-game event now a rebel group)
and Cremators

Sshhhhh dont give away my secret Its a paid testimonial bound by contract. Also we do have different designs you can select on the bottom. If you are using the one with the cringy images then yeah, I personally hate that one.

Recommend changing it to Gamer's Republic Quark.

@DesertedCake , What makes you angry about the current theme? I know some of the images are kinda weird, i'm looking for replacements and the color of some of the title kinda don't pop-out. Is there anything else that an issue with the theme??

The reason i'm asking so i can make it more user friendly and have it better like and enjoyed. Thanks

I can't stress enough because of how much 13-16 year olds keep trying to force some edgy ideology into HL2RP. Such as communism, or confederate bullcrap. Go back to reddit, and stop messing with Gmod roleplay.

 

I respect everyone's opinion but only after they actually try out the server. Just because you read "republic communist party" doesn't mean anyone is 13-16 years and in the server is shit!

Just an FYI one of our community/ server members created the "Republic Communist Party" and we want to give them the right to fully express their raleplay imagination and supporting then then if the wording is conflicting, just as long it go with the theme of the server we don't care.

So before you make a fool of yourself how about you actually try the server before you start hating it. After you try the server and you still think 13 to 16-year-olds trying to force some bull crap then fine I will totally respect that but only after you try the server. Because as of right now your reply doesn't help you or I with the situation I'm trying to make the server better and more enjoyable.

I think more people getting into garry's mod is cool and a bit refreshing, but I personally think the addition of 'political parties' to a garry's mod community would just promote petty factionalism and it's likely to be a big turnoff; not trying to be unfair but I think it's taking garry's mod way too seriously to have a wonky system like that

 

Since the admins are all spineless, I guess giving my opinion on a goddamn silly community is against the rules ain't it?

The server doesn't look all that bad, and I like some of the stuff you're trying to do here. I'm not really into roleplaying and I wont pop my head in to say hello, but I do wish you luck with what you're doing, as it's something a bit different from what I usually read in these threads. I also think the Political Parties are a pretty neat idea, so good luck with what you're trying to do.
