Welcome to GamingCantina! At GamingCantina you can just relax, have a soft drink, and just roleplay. Mostly, we hope you came here for the roleplay. So either you are here by coincidence, or just wanting to read the websites and servers...Welcome to GamingCantina! Let me tell you a little bit about us, and some background on us. BACKGROUND
GamingCantina first started off as a server called, "Sector 7 HL2RP." It had a good playerbase, and people came here to have some fun, and just roleplay. We first off established around a 15 playerbase, and slowly declined due to a small error of copyright. Sector 7 HL2RP went to RoleplayCantina which was around for a LONG while, and got even up to 17 players! Although, like many servers and owners, either it is shut-down by fiancial, or just not enough playerbase to stay up. GamingCantina came about 2 monthes later, after alot of people arsing me to create it again. Crunched a few numbers, along with some people, and I was able to get the server up once more! Now that you know a little more background on us. Let's get to daily routines, and or events if you must.

EVENTS
Daily routines and Rations....You may notice these on a daily server, maybe a shooting here and then, but on GamingCantina things are MUCH much different. We don't do events for the fun of it, we do events for the roleplay quality of it. Much like many of our qualities, such as fun players, nice admins, and unique systems, which I will specify in a much later article below. Back to Events, we also have unique events such as rogue civies, BMD dealings, and some-time information get's leaked to the public thanks to 'Shady Characters' which are mentioned in the 'special' section below. Now that you have a taste of us, we will now go into whitelists.

WHITELISTS
We have many whitelists and factions on our server, but let us go through the basics!
CCA or the Civil Combine Authorities. They are the main force of the city, that enforces laws, punishments, and makes everything go the way the SeC. WANTS IT TO GO.

OTA or the Overwatch Transhuman Arms. Most of you are familiar with these fellas if you played HL2, they are the grey kevlar armored soldiers that will do anything to kill you. From flushin' you out of a hiding place with grenades, firing orbs, or even using Gunships or Hunter Choppers. Same follows for anti-citizens.

CWU or the Civil Worker's Union. They are the main labor force of the city, from selling goods from the Combine, to making metal and other misc. in the workshop, to even selling books to the citizens of City 17. They are the loyal citizens who get an extra ration, and have a Union Card that unlocks Union Locks, and access Union Valid Items that Citizen wouldn't normally have.

Bio-Organics or the Vortigaunts. This is a rare faction that you can apply for on the forums. Vortigaunts were sent from there home-world, to the border-world xen, to across the universe to Earth. They've come far and wide, and yet the Combine has enslaved them. The only difference is that they're are freed and enslaved.

Resistance or the Lambda Movement. This is KEY-ROLE faction in the HL2 universe. This is practically stops the Combine from taking over earth, and turning every citizen into a OTA, and making them brain-less fighting machines for there ultimate destruction. Without these fellas, the earth is doomed to total domination, and Earth will be drained of it's resources.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!
Citizens! These are the main populance of ANY city on earth. Without them, the Combine has no role, has no purpose on earth, and that pretty much makes them just drain the earth of it's resources and just leave. Without these key role factions, that you might not feel, THESE ARE VERY IMPORTANT. Many factions have advantages, such as access to firearms or goods, but without Citizens! Those faction are POINTLESS!

SPECIAL
Let me first start you off with the ones you probably know already. The Shady Character I mentioned, and the Custom Content we have. But instead of you reading a BIG FAT paragraph about this, let me just put this out for bullet-points.

Shady Characters - These are one of a kind characters through-out the city, that give you information, and sometime buy/sell things to you. But becareful though, get to anxious, or demanding and they might just turn you down...

Purified Water - This is one of my custom content and favorite items I've added. This is mainly the opposite of the brainwashing juice you have in that breen water. This water is freshly taking from a near-by river or stream, boiled, and then refridgerated to give you a nice, cold glass full of water. This is mainly made by the Resistance.

Vintage Wines and Wines - This is a NUMBER ONE selling brand item on the Black Market. Wines are very important to people who believe in reformation or 'The Renaissance.' Many BMD's buy this stuff fresh from City 19, and ship it around the world to sell at Stands, and in dark alleys. Get your hands on this stuff, and you could make an easy 250-1000 tokens EASILY. Vintage Wine however, makes that price go up by like 5x if your lucky!

Antlion/Headcrab Meat - This isn't that supplement crap, that has no flavor or color, or savor. This is the meat that makes you get nutrients, vitamins, and it's very premium. Antlion is probably the most delicate, but delicious meat to eat, but on the other hand, Headcrab meat is delicious too.

Canned Goods - This is mainly soups, and foods, and even pre-war goods. Many people would pay alot to have fresh and delicious goods, such as Antlion meat. If you find this, be sure to save it for yourself, or for money, because it sure is damned delicious!

QUALITY
The server runs on a Hyper-Accelerator Engine, has it's own web-server, and it is a dedicated server. It also has 0-Low lag if you must, being that it runs on alot of memory, and FPS acceptance. The server it self is very neatly done, and it corn-battered, and served on a silver plater. This server is also runned by NFO which is the best in the business. So take my word for it, this server is top-notch.

CONCLUSION
IN the end, I just want to say that I hope I can see most of you on the server, and hopefully it will turn out to be as I put it up to be. I also hope that sooner or later, we will be recognized for our quality, and roleplay, and hopefully we can become successful like some servers out there like Lemonpunch and or TnB. I was once a respectable Staff Member of RoleplayCantina, the previous (for some reason unmentioned) version of this Community.
For a while, it was good, I enjoyed coming on.
But the OOC was completely cluttered
The other Admins were very unprofessional, and were chosen by the owner based upon how good friends they were, rather than their ability to moderate a server. This resulted in a butt tonne of shit, in both the way the Roleplay was handled (very poorly) and as was the general communitu. Who frequently argued.
To top it off, I was stripped of my rank of SA for the reasons of 'FailRP' for not acting fearfully.
Plus, the simple fact there's M9K on the Server should instantly be a factor of downfall. As I can put a safe bet on every Admin spawning themselves Sniper Rifles.

Then again, maybe it has changed, maybe there is some better Staff on.
Give it a shot.
Just don't expect much.

 

I know the Co-Owner, she's decent. As for the other staff I cannot say much.Their site is poorly made, http://roleplaycantina.enjin.com/forum and most of their guides are terrible.

Was one of the admins on the server, wouldn't refer anyone to the server, the owner over-all abuses his 'Adam Jensen' character that cannot die, assmoting everywhere ratings?
