General lifting/fitness thread

  1. I'm typing off my phone at summer school atm, and I'm lifting after school today (like every day) and I was wondering a lot of things. If you guys know, post the answer.
    How much oatmeal is TOO much oatmeal? I eat 2-3 bowls a day, not including my pre workout with a shake. Also, post lifting stories! I want to know your lifting maxes, pre/post workout meals, techniques for different exercises etc etc

    I'm getting back into lifting, but I seriously hope you're doing compounds while lifting. Alongside oatmeal and shakes (if you really need shakes), I'd recommend milk as it's high in protein.
     
  3. Just milk? Or should I put additives in it? And I also drink chocolate milk after a workout, along with some kind of pasta

    Yeah, just straight milk, it's great post-workout I found. Other than that I'm quite sure pasta after a workout has got a positive effect as it's quite clearly rich in carbs. As for chocolate milk, I'd assume it'd be great so long as it's low in fat.

  12. Depends on how many leg days you skip.
    I do an adapted Bulgarian method, so my legs are fucking huge. That feeling when size 38 pants look like skinny jeans around my quads even though I have a size 32 waist.

    I used to transition from 13kg Dumbells to doubled on a barbell (roughly 60lbs) in 5 sets of 15 reps whenever I'd work out. As for diets, I'd mainly just eat chicken and pasta/salad, constantly. Carbonated water, too.
