ez way to gain naval intel or whatever to do an invasion is to just create submarines, have them patrol in the regions you need to invade, and make sure they are set on 'do not engage'.

also naval bombers help too

I've only recently gotten the game but I feel that the game seems to move very slowly even at top speed. Do you reckon it's because I'm new and need to learn to occupy my time more or is it like that for a purpose?

 

like how much time passes? early game, top speeds make it move very fast for me but around 1941 is when it starts slowing down a lot because there are a lot of divisions on the map.
