You arrive in City 13, a city in which is ruined by rebellion. Half of the city has been blocked, due to catastrophic circumstances. City 13 has been named one of the most dangerous cities to occupy in, due to the many secrets that lie within. The Metro Police force has you by the tail. Anything you do is noted and will be saved for later. The living space is small, but in high numbers. Many abandoned shops remain in the plaza. The city uses a new, synthed voice for announcements and broadcasting. The battle of City 13 is what keeps us all together.

Lore

City 13 was named one of the largest cities in the world. The was until the battle of City 13, where almost every civilian rose to fight against the Union. In all efforts to take back City 13, the civilians failed, and half of the city was blocked due to catastrophic circumstances. The server takes place four years after the Seven Hour War. Much is forgotten about the war due to the supplements being fed to the civilians of City 13. The citizens of City 13 have set a new goal, to begin normal life as they have, once before, but with the Combine still inhabiting the city. Citizens are encouraged to start business, and attempt a real life. Often the Combine won't tolerate crime, and will punish to their full extent.


Rules

Basically we're go to do a PK type server. This meaning, if you die, civilian or unit, in any way ICly, your character is done. We want to take realism in HL2 RP a little farther then most servers do. Applying this rule will make you think twice before doing something stupid. We will also be applying a realistic S2K system, meaning you'll duck and cover as you would in S2M, and you won't just rush at them as you would in S2K. We want you to duck and cover in a S2K fight, we want you to be careful when fighting, because if you die, you're dead. We understand some players do not like S2K, so if both parties agree on a S2M scenario, then that can apply. Other rules are common sense. Don't hack, don't do anything you might think is against the rules. We know exactly how to catch scripters and will ban without hesitation.

I'm going to drop by sometime, the video with Putin as Breen made me laugh so hard in a good way, great job with that!

 

Looks good.

Too bad the trailer had cars, lol. Sorta ruined the immersion a bit.

Other than that-- the map's lighting is really bad. They only seem to be using light_spot instead of a combination of light_spot and light. Was it compiled in fast mode? I recommend getting the VMF and touching up on it a bit.
