  2. I'm a big fan of 3kliksphilips' thought that vertical detail is what separates a good map from a great map.
I'd suggest you add clutter and bridges and random crap that sets the scene vertically*
Try and use lighting to break up the scenes more distinctly, that's always fun. Stick to a few base colors though, maybe look into color theory to make the map feel more real.
More overlays, propaganda ect could be nice

Overall, it's a great map so far though! Good job ^-^

    *(but don't overdo it, it's a thin line o.o)

You realise he didn't make the map, right? He wants to know how to best decorate it In-Game

  4. I can't read.
Either way, same advice applies, just with tools and not hammer. ;)

(/advertadd for overlays, gives a really nice effect)

Dont have the server up yet, and also, I think I might edit this map to my desires.

+ Does anybody want to recommend me a map? I tought about 02 because well, nobody uses it at the moment.

  6. Hey wait a second, are you Fear from Eclipse?
Tbh I don't blame you for leaving that messy shitstorm.

OT: I suggest you use prop packs from Games such as Stalker, as they contain some damn fine props for building, to an extent I would suggest the LP Utility packs as they contain most of the Black Mesa Source props which look sexy af - but mainly for small time decoration. And never underestimate the atmospheric power of rubble, junk, graffiti, etc because it can do wonders.

    Dunno honestly
Hi, and I will probably do so, but I need to learn how to set everything up yet, so I am kinda looking for what I will need to do to please roleplayers c:

  8. Wait, so Fear, are you creating a community, I'd be happy to partner :S - also
My comment was for in-game decoration (props n' shit) didn't know you were talking about Hammer, in that case,
Verticality is a good aspect of City 2, so keep that in mind if you are building on top of it, as well as the atmosphere.

Few of my friends and I have decided not to take 2 anymore, I might be taking i17, altough I am still open for other maps right now. ^^

  10. City 33 is a very good map, with a good atmosphere, but...
    • The only way to travel between the two main city parts of the map is a bugged/broken train which doesn't work as intended.
    • There is an entire outlands map underneath the city with no actual way to get to rather than noclip.
    • There is a bunch of unconnected rooms and such on the fringes of the map which you have to noclip to.
If you could fix it up and connect everything in a logical way, it'd be a pretty good map to play on.
