How did you learn Lua/GLua?

    Hey.

Now, as you may have or may not have seen, I've released a few plugins on here. They're not the most advanced things you'll ever see, most will be commands or items that do nifty little things. However, you won't catch me building frameworks or anything massively advanced like that. But from the more experienced people on here, those who are more advanced or are just really intermediate in GLua, I'd like to know where you learnt it all yourself. If you're in the process of familiarising and learning with lua, how are you doing it?
(Please don't send me a maurits.tv link, lol.)

  3. Hunger Johnson helped me out a lot with Lua, and I asked Spencer Sharkey a few questions about plugin making, so I made a few plugins and realized it wasn't as hard as I thought it to be.

When you get the basics of Lua down, you realize everything is the same. It's all about the fundamental data types and classes.

    Ah, thank you.

  9. Mhm.

I feel more people should take the time to get acquainted with Lua, as it plays such a huge role in this game.

Lua takes a huge role in most moddable games.

And if you want to make your own game, you might want to read on Lua integration for modding
