HL2RP I need a good server...

If anyone knows a private server that doesn't have minges 24/7, badmins, crappy RP, and not a tossed up server, I'd be glad to join it. Please PM the ip of them....

there are none
sure, you can find a good one, but it never gets players because they don't have le tnb and shit fuck ton of plugins and c17
all the ones with a good pop are just generic shitty c17 copy and paste of other servers, nothing new or interesting about them.
in my 2 years of playing hl2rp on and off i have only found 2 servers with a decent pop and not 20 gigs of content
if i were you, i'd go for private servers with passwords.

I'm staff for a guy who is starting a new hl2rp server soon and he has a load of good ideas, but ideas mean jack shit. It's all in the execution.

At the moment the best HL2RP servers are ironically the ones with the most people, mostly due to you can get actual RP going.

 

it essentially goes like this: if it's been up for a while and has a large pop then it's most likely shit, story-oriented private servers are the way to go as far as rp quality gets

usually the way people who care about writing have a good time in big servers is by finding their own groups to do shit with

this is from me and cash's experience when we played on it for a 1-2 months span so idk how it is as of august but

the admins are young, unresponsive and when they do respond they give you massive attitudes
a large portion of the admins erp and come on the server, then immediately go afk
the current owner is very young, puts up ridiculous donations (whitelists, in-game scripts, etc etc for outrageous prices)
a large portion of the server can't spell properly and boast about how "WE'RE FAR BETTER THAN SCG XDD"
it's plagued with false promises "free willed mpf" but in reality you had to go through the same typical hl2rp system of rankage, even to the point where-as tommy admitted to me in chat that it's a fucking mess
the owner had to get my other friend and tommy to semi-attempt to get it back on track only for the server to continue it's downspiral into typical hl2rp nonsense
the owner when called out for his bullshit will attempt to hush you up by acting nicer and offer you various things to soften his image
poorly-managed and put together scripts by a "developer" who doesn't even "develop" other than install plugins from cloudsixteen

and so forth and so forth

overall it's shit and only attracts gutter-trash.

 

i gave earthfall another chance today, and i actually had a really nice time. granted, i was provided clothing, a shotgun with ammo and other items, and i was also with friends. we trudged up and down the sewers, had a nice run in with the local (admin) rebels, helped refugees into the outlands and then ultimately ran for our lives back to the city amongst a literal horde of various xen wildlife. it was good fun, but i can definitely see why somebody who already didnt have ties to people and items wouldnt have fun at all.

 

give nebulous a shot, you won't be disappointed, most likely, provided you have basic knowledge of roleplay

 

As basically the biggest guy in Nebulous, I'd say try it out. Either HL2RP or WW3RP.

EDIT: After further examining it, it seems they did have permission to take the manual from WI's creator. But still, taking the name? Must have the creativity of a rock.

 

A typical trait of hl2rp servers is that their creators have no creativity, mostly either using other assets or using them and changing a couple meaningless things to say it's different.

i dont have any hope though, it'll probably remain gutter trash despite these new claims of "fixing it up" haha fuck off i've seen this shit too much in roleplay
