Hello, everyone. My name is emms, also known as Hadouken.

I've been thinking for a little bit and I came up with this server idea that I don't believe has been done before and I was wondering what your guys' thoughts would be about this server should it ever come to exist.

So, the gist of it is that the players play as either a soldier or a scientist/engineer of some sort, and you all awaken on board of an advanced spaceship with no idea as to how you got there. The only thing you do find out is that you're now involuntarily part of an intergalactic militia consisting of mostly mechanical humanoids, and they need you for... something. If you're a soldier, you're given very specific weapons that do not allow you to shoot at the robots who have taken you captive nor at your fellow captives. If you are a scientist/engineer, you have a variety of tasks such as maintaining the ship or fixing up the robots and the such.

Eventually, they take you to a planet where you soon realize that you're not the only one captured. There are plenty of other prisoners in a max-security prison on this dusty planet and as a doctor, you're forced to do horrible experiments on these people and as a soldier, you're supposed to ensure that the scientists do their jobs and that the prisoners stay in line.

The twist that actually makes this a true story? It's an episodic narrative, and the goal of the players is to team up behind the back of the robots to find a way to break the hell out of this place, prisoners, scientists, and soldiers working as one to fight back against whoever these captors are.

    Would you all play this?

  2. Depends, if the shit will run smoothly, the plugins will be a-okay, and if the whole idea will be executed properly- then yeah, sure.

This sounds really strange (in a good ish way) and I think the most difficult and interesting to see be done is how you'd execute it

I think the idea's got potential, and it sounds cool, but as said it all depends on how well things are run. Episodic stuff is hard to pull off on a large scale. Either way, good luck with it, I'll probably hop in discord further down the line and see how things are.

Organization is key. Don't rush this out half-baked because it is a custom concept. If you put in time to explain the surroundings and make sure the plugins/schema run without functional problems, I think it has a chance of success. I like the idea of "the unknown", not knowing what exactly is going on and letting plays figure out what happened and why there are there. Good luck!
