Other Is clockwork runnable in singleplayer?

Discussion in 'Development' started by Defalt, Jun 20, 2017.

  1. Is there a possible way you can run Clockwork in singleplayer to test schema's that you have bought/made?

Yes. You take the gamemode file (ie: cwhl2rp) and place it in your local gamemodes folder from your file browser.

    Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > GarrysMod > garrysmod > gamemodes

Once the file is in that directory, you open your Garry's Mod and in the bottom right corner of the main menu screen, you can select your gamemode. Select the one that you have created and then simply start a new singleplayer game.

I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't work with Clockwork. One, it would need to load the framework itself and two it would need a serial key and a CAX connection which I am positive is not achievable by standard GMOD singleplayer.

You can get a $7/m 8-slot server from NFO, and lock it. Basically singleplayer.

Ah, apologies. I thought this had happened last time when I tested it in singleplayer, but I must be mistaken.

  6. Like I said. You can get yourself a source dedicated server for $0.

  7. You can host a local multiplayer server on your machine and that'll basically do it.
Either via gmod hosting or steamcmd.
