HL2RP Jenkins Server Reviews

Welcome to Jenkin's Review Home, a converted retirement home devoted to reviewing half-life 2 roleplay servers. In a land far away, called 2007, I and Jenkins had met in TaconBanana, becoming the best of friends and roleplay buddies. We lived in a time of quality roleplay, where people would care about the freedom of roleplay, not about scripts, (they were nice though!). We have seen the horrific downfall of HL2RP and are now bent on giving reviews to help the server - and also help fellow players that are looking for a peaceful, proper server.

Our reviews

We aren't fat jerks like the Groupgriefers that'll troll your server, we will contact you over steam after we have recorded at least an hour of footage, and attempt to point out your problems and how you can fix them. We also have a crew of about eight people with all good quality cameras/recording systems, each of these members are from the Jenkin's Youngsters, a group devoted to reviewing servers and providing wisdom. We will NEVER troll or do anything to hurt your server! We believe that if a server refuses to change, then they will go down slowly and realize their mistakes. We will also upload a youtube version of our reviews. When we review a community, we will look at the server firstly, then the forums, and then a chat with the owner to see how well they respond to our review and attempts to fix the problem. We use a rating score of 1-10, one being an angry cane waving, and a ten being a top-hat off to you!

Additional Information and closing statement.
We believe ultimately in power to the people, we look for how well the server responds to users speaking out, giving ideas, and criticism. We also believe in freedom of roleplay, as known as you may roleplay what you want, as long as it's not affecting other users!

Our closing statement starts now. We have gotten headaches over how bad half-life two roleplay has gotten, and now we desire for change, starting with the iconic player, Frederick Oldmin Jenkins. Further reviews will be posted once we start our reviews - they'll be in replies, then added to the thread!

Maybe it's not just about bad servers, some things get old to people. Half-life 2:Roleplay in question may have significantly gone down hill, but also I think allot of the people are just bored of it, because you can only roleplay on the same gamemode for so long before it does get boring.

 

roleplay's been on a decline since gmod13 went live

ever since a year ago that decline turned into a 90 degree vertical drop. i guess people are just getting tired of the same shit.

This is the result of a broken system that favors friends and Autists over the playerbase that needs to literally allow themselves to undergo this kind of bullshit just to get a simple weapon.

i hope you know this isn't about any of that. i let go of the dynex thing literally the second day it happened. stop bringing shit up from the past, it's literally like your only thing you have to use. and stop raging at me because i'm an administrator for novabox too, jesus christ. grow up and act mature, not like the 13 year old i'm seeing right now. i don't need respect or authority at all, this is just for fun and something to do. please don't attack me like that again, fixxer, we all know you need your daily rantings, but don't do it on me.

Can't we have one thread without someone going "Lol ur stoopid" and them the response of "no ur stupeed DD", I mean nigga all he was he wants to review servers. Just let him do it, it's not as if anyone will actually care that much for it anyway.

 

He's still free to do what he wants, but their points go both ways. Fixxer says puppy isn't a credible source, whereas puppy says he won't have any bias.

 

Just let it happen, unless a moderator says otherwise just chill, relax and read their post, or go find a different topic to read/shit on idk.

It's not an attack on you m8, it's me challenging the idea and pointing out flaws in the process.

If this is how it is, imight start up my own 'reviews'.
Goodluck with it all, will be interesting to see, especially once people start lining up for them, but with the lack of servers and whatnot, doubt it'll be hard.

Ratings are based on personal opinion.

You're not here to genuinely rate servers, you're here to shit on them in vengeance for your own being taken over by Dynex or whatever, either than AND/or that you're looking to promote another server run by yourself or a friend by putting out 'official reviews' which just so happen to be great to try to lure people there.

An hour of footage isn't going to help, people are just going to feign decency and control until you leave.

You're seemingly trying to be some sort of 'respected authority' for popularity/fame "omg plese review us xdddd yayyyyyayaya want sum money xdd" but really there's no merit in that, you're not the judge of hl2rp.



So basically "We don't like this, change it or we rate you bad", i can see this already.



Sadly not the case. Many servers still in existence haven't changed and still stand. Why are you so cynical about losing your server to more popular/better ones to make such a bold statement/claim as if you are the expert on the matter.

In conclusion, based on everything i've read here, you have very little, if any real understanding of even the actual merits on which to rate a server, let alone barely anything that could stand on its own two feet when it comes to reviews of a server.

@Fixxer, I think you need to start having more faith in things people are trying to do. @sloth_ created successful unbiased reviews, which means it is possible.

I can only ask for you to stop making impudent 'reviews' on what people are trying to do, and just sit back and watch, instead of creating more drama by throwing in irrelevant points.

Aside from that, @puppy0156, I really do hope you can deliver. I have faith in this, and I hope not to be let down.
