Apple-Certed Instructor/Technician, I repair people's shitty broken investments for what ends up being an even shittier investment for them

 

I'm gonna be working on getting certed, actually. Any tips?

 

Being an Apple technician is equatable to living in a dystopia where Apple runs every single thing you do, how you do it, when you do it, if you get the parts, if you can get certified. I actually have silver APPLE PROFESSIONAL badges which I think are equatable to Loyalist Badges. They'll even issue you a plaque if you do everything the way Apple says you should do it.

EDIT: I'm also fairly certain that the tighter your pants are, the more seriously you are taken.

Also, one the anniversary of Steve Jobs' death, it's literally as if fucking Kim Jon Il died

Luckily I won't be working Apple-exclusively. Just getting some certs for supporting the OS since we have 2000~ users using Macs.

 

You're gonna wanna study the fuck out of the OS at the BASH level. Security features especially.

 

Luckily I have a Mac of my own and I do development stuff, so BASH isn't too foreign. I'll probably fire you a PM or two the next few weeks if I have any questions, that alright?

I'm a pilot in training (along with a related bachelor's degree in the works) with an internship at my local airport. Pretty fun stuff.

 

That's awesome. What do you typically fly?

 

We fly Tecnams, we've got a p2002 Sierra (low wing) and two p2004 Bravos (high wing). Small planes, single prop. We've got glass instruments (aka electronic instrument displays) in both of them, they're fairly new.
