    Not every langauge he knows is up there. The last time we had one of these threads, he listed out everything.

    Right now I have more of an interest in the hardware side of computing but I do plan to do Computer Science and such in school which'll hopefully help me gain more interest in programming. It's definitely a skill I want to develop and I do want to in the near future become more articulate in computer programming but for now I'll just lurk and find some interesting stuff to do.

  3. I have a strong feeling this thread is more of a "Languages in which you know 1 or more keyword".

    In that case, I should list C++, C#, Java, Basic, FORTRAN, io, and Lisp.

    except i can't actually program in those so I won't oh jeez!

    Code:
    yeah = "yeah"
    itIs = "it is"
    str.join(" ", (yeah, itIs))

    I'm taking programming this year, and we have to use this program called Alice were basically. You don't type any shit up you just drag like pre-made codes? (right?) and you get to like. Do shit with it. Kinda like ROBLOX without the building blocks and the other shit.

    idk how its helping me learn how to program without me really programming but it sure as hell is fun to do a several loop spins on a pilgrim's limbs.

    Edit: What should I do to teach myself how to program instead of going through the long grueling process of learning it from a teacher who has to slow it down because some of the kids in our class are 'special'.

    Oh shit, run while you still can. I used Alice for one of my programming courses and it was HORRID. I'm also guessing this is an introductory course?

    Yep. Introductory course, can't be asked to deal with that shit when I already know a-lot of the basics.

    I don't have the second programming class until second semester, and that is when we probably just touch the surface of Java and watch the teacher spend about a week trying to teach us one thing.

    And RJ you seem to be one of the most experienced programmers here, and I'm thinking of opening up a server soon with my own schema and shit. What do you recommend I do to start learning to do that stuff, and also for long-term. I want to do something more then just make schemas or plug-ins (Not that making schemas and plug-ins aren't important, it's just I want to move onto bigger fish to fry later on.)
