I've just put up a server running Legacy Phase Four, it's currently in working condition and I need testers to find bugs and errors.

It's public so no password needed to join, if you find any bugs or issues report them to the bug tracker as usual :) http://issues.cloudsixteen.com

    Server IP 95.154.240.11:27015

Never been much of a fan of Phase Four, but I might pop by later.

I always enjoyed Phase Four for it's flexibility, and not being centered on one gamemode. Make of it what you want, aslong as it's somekind of Apocalypse. I liked it, aslong as it's fairly adminned.

I might drop by, if there's not too much RDMing.

Connall is stating it very bluntly. The ease of gaining a weapon, is very easy in this gamemode. Furthermore, the lack of a steady canon, unless set up, is also a huge pro for RDMers, because they can blame it on well.. Everything, really. It needs good administration and a good background, if you want it to succeed. Some community's did that, and it worked out well for them, untill Garry had to fuck us all over with G13.

I like the fact of "phase four" that people can create a group and call themselves the police for instance and actuelly start ruling the city. Untill another group comes by, obliterates them and takes over, or not and leaving the city in total chaos.

I'll put the server online once again today as soon as I've fixed a few issues and re-added safe boxes.

Phase four is a pretty good post apocalypse schema to be fair. Though I do find the choice of city 8 map for the server confusing. I guess I'm just not one for phase four.

Yes, indeed. The game was designed from the ground-up (Experiment) to be a light roleplaying gamemode. It's focused on the idea of player-controlled environments, and not admin-controlled ones. The idea is to see what happens when you put a group of players on a map, with the tools needed to create "gangs" or "societies" and see what happens. What usually happens is players divide naturally into good vs bad groups, such as police forces and such. They were always extremely interesting to play, and I selfishly designed them because they were something I wanted to play.

Considering people were waiting on it, my best bet is, you weren't the only one, Conna.
