Lua Coder required.

Discussion in 'Discussion' started by AnonymousTip, Jul 29, 2013.

  1. I'm not asking for a huge favor. Just make an sv_hooks.lua and that's it.
    Add this guy: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198019366470/
He will fill you in on the details about the variables needed for the .lua.

The guy you're adding knows coding but not how to make sv_hooks.lua so I'm using my free time to make this thread so someone can help him.

  2. I don't understand.

Make sv_hooks doesn't really make sense.

  3. Whatever the terminology is, he can't do it and needs someone else to do it for him.

  4. Well, you aren't being very specific, so I can't see that many people helping, as they don't know what you need :-\

    Oh.
He's talking about his Star Wars RP Schema

  6. You didn't read the last line on the first paragraph. Or you did and you don't understand it. Whatever the case is, give it another go.

Why doesn't he just use the general functions from the other sv_hooks? if you're not able to make the sv_hooks i doubt that making a clockwork schema from scratch is a good idea.

  8. I asked him that and he will not respond. He will not talk to me at all. Last I heard from him was, "The gamemode is 90% complete." And, "You said Dem would sort out sv_hooks." I did tell him I made this thread and he should expect someone to help him.

  9. Looking for a new coder. Got rid of the other guy due to lack of communication.
I'll pay $30 minimum and $60 maximum if you revamp Clockwork to my specifications within a week.
(I am told what I want is not overly complicated and should only take a few days)

For each day passed, $5 is subtracted.
    Day 1 = $60
    Day 2 = $55
    Day 3 = $50
    Day 4 = $45
    Day 5 = $40
    Day 6 = $35
    Day 7 = $30
    Day 8 - Nothing.

Not happening, not going to just "take your word" that it isn't something that will take longer than a week. Sorry.

  11. Understandable as lua coding is not everybodys forte. What I ask for is not complicated but tedious, from what I was told, and only someone with the skill worth my money should perform such a task.

Pay someone a specific sum in the beginning, and the final complete sum at the end. The coder needs to know that they'll be paid, and you two should build a legal agreement to sort payment out.

    Doesn't seem like he's interested.

  14. It's a bit hard to do any sort of paying if nobody is going to say, "Hey, I'll do it."
The infamous reputation for coders is really paying for itself.

Off-Topic: This is what you get with that kind of attitude.

On-Topic: I could ask for my community's coder, as some kind of exchange program. All for a reasonable amount of money ofcourse.

  16. I want to know what he wants done before I even start, so I can at least get some idea of how I'm going to do it and even if I can.

  17. http://steamcommunity.com/id/WatchMyShow/ Add me and I'll give you a run-down.

My attitude towards coders is will earned. I've had nothing but bad experience with them. (Two stealing my account with their coding, and the others being obnoxious and up themselves)

  18. Doesn't mean all of them are like that.

Nevermind then, I don't think my coder would want anything like your attitude.
