Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series

  1. Daohlocks

Daohlocks The Bible is my favorite sci-fi novel.

I'm calling it now, the answer is "because in 1.8 dey introduced hungerrr"
Not like I became immortal after killing fifteen cows and making a tiny little farm but mkay.

It's not even because of hunger, the mechanics of the game were so much better than before. If you compared the game now to beta, beta would look like absolute garbage and it wouldn't even matter.

Yet because so many were able to play the game pre release, they know how much fun they had and that's probably why so many prefer it to now, because now the community surrounding the game draws so much from actual gameplay.

it is tho, that's what gave minecraft it's charm. i'm saying that as soon as 1.8 hit the change in direction was so swift and abrupt that it felt like a right angle turn in terms of where the game was going.
i think most of us are basing our opinions not on how good the game is compared to how the game was in beta, but more on the nostalgia factor of it.

Soooo.... you like glitchy, broken and unfinished games and when said games turn into something good you just say they're shit because the nostalgic value becomes lower?
    Now I've seen everything.

    nah, i think he's right

minecraft was broken, sure, but it was still strong enough to be fun, until they patched it up and filled it with jizz

    Strong enough to be fun?
You basically just placed blocks and made cool shit. Now you can make even more cool shit since they keep updating the redstone category and cool stuff. Fuck, they will be adding wings, shields and double holding in the next update!
You are going on saying that Minecraft turned into shit, but it is actually way better than it was before. Nothing but improvements.

improvements that completely made the game form a reflex angle here. back then, it was simplistic building of blocks. now it's building shit but first you have to care about your needs like food and how much protection your diamond armour has so you can go fuck kids over.
don't get me wrong, minecraft is cool, but people had more fun back then because there wasn't so much to take in, and there wasn't a lot of things obstructing the fun from happening

plus new minecraft literally is a mod. play minecraft back then, and put in mo creatures and tekkit and shit. now play this version and the mobs/textures are very similar, it's distracting.

tl;dr: jeb made minecraft different from what notch made it. just because it looks the same and has no bugs doesn't mean it gets funner for everyone

But what you're saying is because the game got mechanically better, it decreased in value to you.

If anything, the adjustments and additions made by the team were better than ever before. What I notice in most of everyone's arguments is that they play the game from a multiplayer point, and not necessarily a singleplayer one. I can actually sit by myself and play minecraft alone and have a more enjoyable time than playing on some overcrowded laggy piece of shit server that has unnecessary rules and mods.

Most, if not every, new update and addition to minecraft has made the game better. There's so much more to do, and the newer mechanics make the game much more enjoyable to someone who played so much DayZ and various games of the sort. When I played in Alpha and Beta, it was cool. It was different. If I tried to go back and play, I would be bored to death because there isn't anything to do except mine blocks, make a neat little house with minimal options and less decorations, and attempt to find diamonds and kill a couple mobs.

I have more fun with the game now than ever. Trust me, the game has aged well. It's clear it hasn't aged well with you.

Daohlocks The Bible is my favorite sci-fi novel.

Food is horribly easy to get, armor is horribly easy to get as well. I have three stacks of iron BLOCKS and I started playing on this world for what, three hours?
So much to take in? You had to install mods to build shit, another mod to make you invincible, another mod to add in cool stuff because there was literally nothing to do.
Also, there is creative mode now, you know what it is, right? Basically, you can fly around, break blocks with one punch and just spawn in any item in the game. Mobs ignore you, you take no damage at all and have infinite resources.

Or would you preffer having to install modloader and toomanyitems everysingletime you wanted to build a rollercoaster?

Also, you're arguing about textures in Minecraft? Oh god.

It's mostly suited for children. You have your friendly neighborhood three best friends, stupid mash Q montages, and hilariously weird animations.

why do you defend it with such ferocity dude. it's just a game and i didn't know it'd trigger you so much if i said that one version of the same game is better than another lol

Lmao, I'm not triggered by the game, I'm triggered because apparently for you folks, playing a broken and unfinished version than a game makes it way better than the final version because it brings you nostalgia. It's stupid, and I hate stupid things.
I quote myself; you love it for no reason at all. Cool.

yeah but why does that piss you off so much. if it takes up so much room in your brain then maybe you should take a step back from your computer. i hate stupid things too, but i don't go around treating it as if it's the biggest thing in the whole world. idgaf if you like the gamma version, but i do if you want to go out of your way and actively agro people for having a different opinion

Oi, never directly insulted you here but okay.
Now you switched topics after you noticed how feeble Beta was to avoid losing the reason. Cool.

i never said that you insulted anybody, but the way you snidely reply to people in such a passive aggressive way is really odd. did i hit a soft spot or something, because you really really like minecraft.

    Yes it is odd.
No, I'm not a mineboy. I like the old minecraft cos it was simple... I could build mostly in peace with mobs on without having to worry about food and a bunch of dumb dungeons I dont want. Thats all for me
