60hz vs 72hz is actually really easy to tell the difference.​

 

nobody cares about you and your pixel count

if you people really, seriously believe this is a thing to boast about, then do realize you're spending hundreds on 10+fps and less jagged lines on some game you barely play, which is money that could have gone to the people who needed it the most.

But yeah guys, this wasn't a post for everyone to discuss their opinions on PC gaming "boasting"-- not to mention I think it was a bit mis-interpreted (and not to mention it has nothing to do with PC gaming, just computers in general, you could do this tweak with 60 dollar toaster if it had connection to a monitor). This, is in, no way, shape or form, a boasting thread. It's more a cool little quirky tweak you can do to pretty much any hardware, and share it with eachother, like; "Oh, cool, you got to 70hz? Nice!"

It's supposed to be a friendly sharing thread on a tweak practically everyone can do, don't try to twist it.

 

Got 70Hz on my old ass 2009 monitor.

I've never been too concerned about a few frames here and there. I understand there's a small, detectable difference, but eh.
I asked "How could graphics get any better?" when Call of Duty 4 came out, when Battlefield 3 came out, when GTA 5 came out and now with Battlefront coming out. So I guess I don't see the need to edge out a bit better performance, especially when I don't play games competitively (and I mean for money and titles, not Counter Strike competitive queue) and I'm already just shocked at each new major graphics iteration.
