  5. Programmable computers, inspired to the workshop addon "gTerminal" by author of a different framework.
They will feature networking, modems, routers, telnet router configuration, and as I already said, scripting. Also printers, and a realistic filesystem.
If I decide to go realistic enough with the networking, it will be possible to perform basic attacks without me directly adding support for it, which is pretty cool imo. (Namely, DDoS and MITM)

The addon is supposed to have a retro feeling, reminding of the times no GUIs were available.
Making this mostly for nostalgia reasons, and as a homage to computer history.

I assume the most unrealistic thing of this addon is that there will be wireless routers, that's not really historically correct, since this is inspired to before 802.11 was invented. However I may not add them if it starts bothering me.

I used to mess around with gTerminal making servers, and using them to have a closed networks for my groups to communicate around almost like radios from their bases.

  8. If you really want to go historic, you make an assembly interpreter/simulator in Lua, write a cross-assembler so you can assemble an assembler into your assembly language, then have fun writing a C compiler into your assembly language (maybe making a cross-compiler as well while you are at it). Before you know you can compile Lua into assembly code to run it on your own virtual CPU! Then you just need to turn the simulator into an emulator to emulate all the peripheral hardware (I/O controllers, multicores, cache memory, main memory, secondary storage, buses, etc.) and we'll have virtual real computers, entirely written in Lua.

At this point. We might as well create a new PC.

  10. Could write an OS for the virtual real computer...

Let's not create inception. Although. It's a nice idea until the machines take over.

  12. I would do that, if it wasn't technicalities most users wouldn't appreciate.
Oh and, obviously, I started learning assembly only recently. Not really good enough at it to consider that.
(Other than the ages of work)
