Anyone watch this show?

I just finished Season 2 a couple nights ago.

The entire show is an excellent mixture between passive and action, and the action isn't ridiculous and over the top.

 

wait, season 2 is out?

Sweet.. thought it was coming out later this month. Just finished the first episode.

 

Yeah I watched the whole of season 2, it's really good! Better than season 1 imo. I don't think there will be anymore after season 2.

 

It was already confirmed that Netflix picked it up for a 3rd and 4th season.

I can't believe my friend spoiled that Hitler killed himself.

 

I mean I don't mind personally because I've seen the show myself and looked up the stuff about this but not everyone have probably heard about Pablo until this show came out and probably haven't looked up what happened because they might want to have what happens come as a surprise by watching the show. I purposefully didn't look up anything until I finished this season because of that reason.

Good show overall. Spits on history's face from time to time but it's good TV.

What I'm somewhat worried about is that they might not have a strong 'antagonist' for Season 3 like Pablo was. He was basically the greatest icon in the entire show as far as characters go, especially the narcos.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's true but when Pablo was getting attacked Límon supposedly left Pablo behind and tried to escape, leaving Pablo to fend for himself. That would have been way better imo because I thought Límon would have betrayed Pablo throughout the season (he kind of did but when he was the last one I thought he would do something like that) not sure why they changed it in the series if that is true.

I was a bit surprised that he didn't sell him out and trapped Carrillo, but a Google search would've let me know that Limón would've been Pablo's last sicario till the end. Wikipedia says that they found Pablo and Limón, and shot them when they tried to escape. Would've been cool if someone else shot Pablo though, I would've enjoyed it if it had been Carrillo himself. But again a Google search shows that the Search Bloc was led by Martinez and Carrillo was purely fictional, so Carrillo had to die.

As much as I would've loved it to be Steve or Javier, Martinez made it very clear that they wanted a Colombian Police Officer to be the one who took him out. I think if either of those guys took the shot, they would've been in a heap of shit. Regardless, Steve himself mentioned how unsatisfying it was anyway. I was a bit sad Limon had to die, he seemed like a good kid up until he shot the poor girl. As for the new antagonist? Definitely gonna be the Cali cartel. They are powerful as fuck, so this might get us somewhere. Not to mention the war in Colombia itself has lasted since 1960 until literally two weeks ago. I shit you not, they signed a treaty this late August.

But anyways, the last few episodes had me on the edge of my fucking seat. I didn't really know anything about the history of this operation, so I decided to not read about it until after I watched the show. I usually find it hard to finish shows, even if they're good, but this one kept me going all the way through. If you haven't watched this show yet, start now. You won't be able to stop.
